A Little Bit About Correze

The Correze is often referred to as France's best kept secret. If you know it you will want to return, if you don't you really should discover it.
The Correze is France at its best with an abundance of green hills, woodland, rivers and crystal clear lakes, sleepy villages and towns.
Whatever your interest there is plenty to do (or not!) the list is endless.
There are lovely lakeside beaches for swimming and boat hire, the river Dordogne for canoeing, walking is very poplular here as well. Some of the activities available include, golf, fishing, tennis, swimming pools, horse riding, bird watching, accrobranche (go ape) etc.
The area is steeped in History, the village of Goulles there are two ancient castles, the Tours de Carbonniers and the Tours de Merle. The Tours de Merle has activities and demonstrations in the summer.
