Simply Owners respects the privacy of its website visitors. We collect information about your property to fulfil our service to you and also basic information such as your name, email address and phone number. We verify your identity and ownership of your property to maintain a secure website for holidaymakers. The identity verification process is done by a third party called kycaid. We do not store all of your personal information from this process, we only save your home and property address. If you subscribe via credit card we do not store your credit card or payment information. We use Stripe to process our credit card payments. We also keep records when you contact us such as email communication.
How does Simply Owners use information about me?We use information about you to fulfil our obligations to you as a supplier of our services, or to comply with other legal or regulatory obligations. For example, we use your email information to provide enquiries to you, send notifications that holidaymakers are looking at your listing, and to notify you of improvements that should be made to your listing. This is done as we have a legitimate interest in doing so because of our services provided to you. We will only contact you if we believe we have legitimate interest in doing so. If you have any problems with Simply Owners contacting you please e-mail a request to stop communication or change the methods of our communication, or you can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails from us at the bottom of the email.
Does Simply Owners share my data with third parties?We share your data to third parties when it is part of fulfilling our service to you. For example, we share your property contact phone number with holidaymakers when they specifically request your details to enquire with you. We will also share your address information if you have failed to provide a service to a holidaymaker and we are obliged to disclose information as part of legal proceedings against you.
We collect information about you when you enter it into contact forms on our site when you wish to contact homeowners, such as your name, email address and phone number.
How does Simply Owners use information about me?We use information about you to fulfil our obligations to you to forward your details on to the holiday homeowner you wish to contact, or to comply with other legal or regulatory obligations. For example, when you contact an owner via our contact forms, we send that information to the holiday homeowner. We will only contact you as we have a legitimate interest in doing so because of our services provided to you. For example, you may receive emails from Simply Owners if you book with an owner in regard to payment protection or leaving a review of your stay. We will only contact you if we believe we have legitimate interest in doing so. No fee usually requiredYou will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). What we may need from youWe may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. Time limit to respondWe try to respond to all legitimate GDPR requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated. Standard non-GDPR enquiries are usually responded to the same working day.
When a subscription is paid for credit card numbers are encrypted and transmitted using at least 256 bit encryption to Stripe.

We only see your credit card number when it is entered into Stripe via a telephone order. Your credit card details are not held in
