Description

Xyloporta is a group of 7 olive pickers cottages renovated to a high standard of comfort and aesthetic without losing the rural, traditional atmosphere and appearance. With its souk-like pathways, there is no rhyme or reason to the its layout which feels very relaxing and allows for a sense of privacy and peace while still being contained within one space. The large infinity pool overlooks olive groves and the sea allowing sensational views to the south of the island - it has an adjoining small splash pool for non-swimmers so toddlers can join in. There are several large terraces and two outside dining areas - one with bbq. The cottages are all different, some can sleep up to five (good for young families), some only a couple. They are all en suite - two with baths and the remainder with showers. Newly refurbished this winter with polished concrete and new bath/shower fittings. There is air-condtioning in every cottage. The large living area allows for everyone to congregate close to the kitchen, the retractable windows can be drawn back to allow for a through breeze and a sense of being outdoors/in. Growing up over time, as cottages were added, Xyloporta is a unique property. Traditional, rural, stonebuilt it has stood the test of time and the rigours of the island and retained its beauty and authenticity.
