Villanovia is off the beaten tracks and worth the 4 Km gravel-road drive, that will take you to our relaxed and far-from-it-all country house.
Staying in our property will offer you a 360° view over unspoiled Tuscany, its history, and hills. And you and your family will feel at home! The house sleeps 20+ (extra beds/futon and + 3 cots are available) in large and comfortable rooms or cozy apartments equipped with a private kitchen corner.
The 16th-century ground floor entrance (all in stone) is the most ancient part of the house. Here you have a sofa area with satellite TV and indoor stairs to the upper floor where 6 accommodations are located, as well as a terrace overlooking Volterra.
Perfectly located for a total relaxing vacation, at the same time offers short rides to the cities of Volterra (9Km), Pisa, Siena (about 60Km each), San Gimignano, and Florence, as well as the Etruscan Coast beaches (45Km). A large kitchen and an impressive 170sm stone-walls living room with original brick arches complete the property.
The panoramic swimming pool is 5x12, fenced for children's safety.
Our premium service is the interior stylish room with a bubble pool, refreshing and relaxing. It is inspired by the Etruscan thermal springs environment, in rustic marble and stone.

Villanovia overlooks a hilltop of the natural park of Berignone, outside the village of Mazzolla,
The view spans seamlessly across the Cecina valley, the cities of Volterra and Pomarance, the Metallic Hills and Larderello, with the visible geothermal steams. The natural reserve of Berignone is an untouched spot, one of the few untouristic of Tuscany.
Located in the center of the triangle made by the cities of Pisa, Siena, and Florence, offers short rides to the cities of Volterra (10Km), Pisa, Siena (about 70Km each), San Gimignano, and Florence, as well as the Etruscan Coast beaches (45Km).
Volterra is a real, all-year round, working town with restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and all modern facilities.
Volterra, the ancient Etruscan Volaterrae, is a city of great architectural interest, located 531 meters above sea level, between the rivers Era and Cecina in Tuscany. The main features are the Fortress of Medici and numerous Etruscan and Roman remains.
The area is easily accessible from Pisa by car with a journey time of just one hour. Both Florence and Pisa International Airports are served by daily flights from all major airports in Europe.
There are numerous hiking paths inside the park as well as historical discoveries, such as the ancient middle-age ruins of the Bishops' Castle, the Castle of Luppiano, and the fortresses of Rocca Sillana. There are a few rivers that cross the natural park, all affluent of the main Cecina river that forms a large valley and dies into the see in the nearby Etruscan Coast.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Among the many features of the house, superior views and a relaxed atmosphere are the ones that most distinguish our place. In addition, we have a large traditional wood oven still functioning. Once upon a time, it was used to produce bread for the local community of farmers. The property also owns part of the surrounding Mediterranean bush with wild animals such as night birds, deers, wild pigs, and also the Mediterranean turtle!

24 Km away you can reach the Metallic Hills and the village of Larderello. It is located in the center of the "Valley of the devil", so-called because of its landscape characterized by geyser with features columns of white steam (already known at the time of Dante Alighieri and the inspiring landscapes of his travel through "Hell ").
Prices: prices are calculated per week (7 nights), in low season the minimum stay will be 4 nights. Indicative prices refers to 14 guests occupancy, each guest above the 14th will be charged €50/week or stay.
