Lovely villa with stunning views and great pool. Set in good grounds and our stay coincided with ripe figs.Remote enough to feel like you're on your own but close enough to good shop and restaraunts that if relaively fit and healthy you can walk to. Beach a bit further still and a 'good' uphill walk back - lovely beachside bar/restaraunt. Villa owner great to deal with - good directions and info. Kefalonia a stunning island and lovely people. Best recommendation I can give is that we'll look to go back! (Take beach towels with you and if you intend to cook at all there's no salt/pepper etc etc not sure if removed by cleaners due to covid) There's diswasher but need to buy tablets and we had to buy salt as it had run out. Washing machine too but didn't use. You'll need to empty your bin(s) but loads of roadside 'council' bins so no great problem. Just the holiday we needed!!!!
This was our first time on the island and will certainly not be the last. The villa was just amazing and is in a stunning location. The instructions to the villa are very precise and allowed us to find it straight away, in the dark. The villa and pool exceeded our expectations. It has everything you need, and more. We enjoyed picking the lemons for our drinks and grilling the dogs on the bbq. We stay in villas twice per year and this is one of the best; the pool is stunning and was kept immaculately clean by the management company during our stay. We visited many of the local beaches- all of them are beautiful. We also chartered a boat on two different days to explore the coastline- a real highlight. We managed to explore the whole island in the car. I certainly recommend this but watch the goats on the roads! You can walk down a little track opposite the villa to the local restaurants. We did this most evenings at about 9.30pm and always had amazing dinners. Can’t wait until we return again!!!
This was our second visit to Villa Helios, this time we took our parents who totally fell in love with the property. Its a great family size villa with plenty of space, amazing views of the coast and across to Zante and a wonderful infinity pool. We especially like the fact that every room has its own balcony and a choice of outside eating areas. Argostlii is not far away and we enjoy shopping in the market, we found some great butchers to buy meat for the BBQ and you can buy your fish straight off the fishing boats There are plenty of good beaches close by our favourite being Kanali, it's always quiet and shelves very gently, although it's a fairly steep path down to it. We also love to go swimming from Karavados beach, the water is crystal clear and you can relax in the beach bar afterwards We could easily spend all in time close to the villa, but it is worth exploring the Island, we loved Assos & Fiskardo & Agia Efimia are very pretty, also St Georges Castle is not far away. Long lazy lunches around the villa pool are our perfect day, this is the best villa holiday we have had , we will definitely be returning. Stelios & Denise are fantastic, very helpful and Denise's cooking so good, we will return just to have her Lemon Chicken again. Submitted 7 Sep 2013
Wonderful views, relaxing location. We stayed with 4 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of room. The Villa has everything you need with good air conditioning when it is really hot. Restaurants within walking distance and 10 minutes in the car to the beaches. Highly recommend and we would stay there again! Submitted 31 Aug 2017
My partner and I took my daughters and their boyfriends to Kefalonia. It was our first visit to this beautiful and friendly island and we weren't disappointed. The villa was secluded with a fantastic view over the sea to the island of Zante but just a short distance from a well stocked supermarket and 10 minutes from a very nice local beach with 2 tavernas. The villa which was not overlooked had generous sized bedrooms all en suite and a big pool and we're looking forward to returning.
