Had a great week staying in this apartment with its stunning roof terrace. It is well equipped for all you need when self catering. As long as you don’t mind steps it’s within a short walk into Tavira or drive down as plenty of parking. Tavira is a great place for a holiday, loads of eateries to choose from so something to suit everyone. I would definitely recommend this apartment as the small complex has a great pool and garden to sit in. Always kept immaculate and we hope to return another year. Thank you Ian and Denise for the use of your property.
This was our first time in Portugal and we picked a marvellous apartment in the most perfect and attractive town. The apartment has bedrooms with very comfortable beds and with lots of storage. The main bedroom has a very big en-suite with bath, shower, basin and bidet . The lounge - diner has plenty of seating and a small balcony overlooking the pool. The kitchen is very well equipped with virtually everything you need and plenty of crockery, ice blocks, hand wash, washing up liquid and so on. The air-con was very efficient and definitely needed. From the apartment there is an internal staircase which leads you to a glorious terrace with 360° views which is equipped with loungers, table and chairs. To get to Tavira is a very easy walk taking about 5 - 10 minutes down quite a lot of steps; if you don't want to do this on the way back a taxi is very reasonably priced at about 5 - 6 euros. The nearest restaurant is Sal no Ponto virtually at the bottom of the steps and serves excellent food. Tavira itself is lovely with loads of restaurants, bars and stalls selling ice cream,cake, honey, jewellery etc.. Thanks to Ian - he was great to deal with and we have already told him that we will be looking at dates to rebook next year.
We stayed for ten days and enjoyed wall to wall sunshine and great accommodation. Very handy down the steps into Tavira, though coming back was a challenge. We were attacked by an invasion of ants for a few days but learnt the portuguese for vinegar which added to water seemed to disperse most of them !! Would recommend (not the ants)
Great apartment everything we expected and more ,superb setting really well maintained, very bright and airy apartment with the added bonus of the rooftop area which again has quality seating for relaxing and for dining ,very close to the centre ,a bit of a hike up the steps for anybody with walking difficulties recommended restraint if you like meat o Castello up the Main Street from the square
Apartment was really well equipped and very clean and spacious. It certainly lived up to the "luxury " claim. It was extremely quiet in the Apartment we never tired of the wonderful views from the roof terrace. The pool is fantastic and just the right size. Our 11yr old grandson was in the pool every day and the poolside areas are great with plenty of space and no fighting for sunbeds ! Tavira has a great atmosphere and although there are 120 steps climbing back to the complex we needed the exercise after all the lovely food we ate each night. All in all a great holiday.
