Description

Welcome to our gorgeous home in the Eastern Algarve hills above Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo in the old village of Malhada do Judeu. We are offering the opportunity to rent a 2 or 3 bedroom unit , all rooms ensuite, with a cleaner on day 4 of 7. We have a heated 8mx4m pool which benefits from daylong sunlight exposure and a very large outdoor decking platform with loads of space for sunbeds, rattan loungers , umbrellas and everything you'd expect really. Even a bar area! Good wifi available throughout the property for when you need it but why not take the opportunity to unplug and do a digital detox!

Our home is a traditional Portuguese house, split into 2 adjoining halves. South facing, we enjoy great sun all day long with the added benefit of stunning sunrises and sunsets. The rental half has 3 ensuite bedrooms and sleeps six comfortably, plus a sofa bed in the lounge. A fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area with multiple outdoor patios. The well established garden has a multitude of trees such as clementine, oranges, figs, almonds, olives and carobs. A purpose built boules area nestles next door to the lazy hammock slung between 2 trees. A gas barbecue is available for those perfect al fresco meals. At night the loudest thing you might hear is an owl.
The kitchen has an oven, induction hob, fridge freezer and washing machine. If you want the hustle and bustle of Albufiera we are not for you, if you want to enjoy recharge time in a little slice of paradise we think we can help.

Option to have a chef for the odd BBQ, or romantic meal.

We are surrounded by miles of rolling hills offering endless opportunities for walking and cycling. You’ll love the peace and tranquillity, the opportunity to take time out to recharge and refresh. Situated just 40 minutes from Faro airport and 10 minutes above Santa Catarina village ( supermarket, bakers, restaurant, bar) You’ll need a car to maximise your stay. Our nearest restaurant is 3 km away, a delightful traditional Portuguese mountain specialty where you can enjoy substantial and wholesome food. Santa Catarina offers several choices of restaurants but the larger towns of Tavira, Sao Bras and Olhao are all within 25 minutes drive as are the wonderful beaches and islands of the Ria Formosa.
We can recommend lots of very good restaurants in the surrounding areas.
Well behaved pets are welcome subject to prior approval.

We stayed at this location for 4 weeks. We had a lovely time and truly enjoyed our stay. Our hosts where superfriendly and very tentative to any needs or question we might have. The place is neat and clean, has everything you might need. This place is highly recomended for a great vacation // Håkan

Paradise for a week ….

We found this wonderful Villa by a chance recommendation and are so glad we did. Nestled in a beautiful valley in the Algarve with stunning views and scenery. The sunsets are to die for and we spent many a night watching the sun go down with a glass of amazing Portuguese wine and pinching ourselves. The villa has been tastefully refurbished and new bathrooms throughout yet retains the charm of a Portuguese Quinta. The owners recommended some lovely restaurants not far and there is a Bar B Q and outside Bar and eating area which we took advantage of together with the Boules Court. Very comfortable accommodation, lovely heated pool and great outside space - our very own bit of paradise for a week. Highly recommend 👍

Fabulous villa and holiday, we will be back!

My wife and I and our 2 children had a fabulous week at Casa Kamina. By the end of the week our youngest who could barely swim was a confident swimmer and enjoyed the heated pool. Its location is superb and the villa is well appointed including a good kitchen and outdoor Barbie area. We hired a car and the area is well signposted so we found it great for visiting some lovely towns such as Tavira, Olhao and Sao Bras and of course the beach! The children loved some quality time with us in a beautiful location. It was truly a special holiday and I’m sure we will be back.
