Mulino Santo Spirito, this is the name of the villa, once a granary Mill, is a charming 1600 historic villa, located in the heart of the village Surano, south Salento, closed to the sea, just 15 minutes drive. It is a private and exclusive villa for guests who rent it. All the facilities at walking distance as shops, markets, pizzeria, bar, tobaccos.
All the comforts. Private Pool protected by gate for children. 10 mts long X 5 mts large, Air/C in all the bedrooms and living, BBQ, heating for winter in Christamas time or autumn winter. Prices are until 10 people per week. For each extra guest up to 10, there is a daily fee extra.
Provided in price bed linen in bed prepared and complete towels, pool towels, cleaning of the pool 2 times per week.
Extra charge: final cleaning €250,00.
Following Italian and Regional law for temporary rental a holiday home extra hotel, non hotel facilities accomodation, the utilities, electricity and water not the gas for hot water and cooking as Solar Panel, are charged to the guests extra, at their consumption and will be paid the last day. The meter reading will be done together with the guests, upon arrival and, again, before departure. Rates published on the National Companies bill, according to current rates written in the contract.

Mulino Santo Spirito was an Old granary Mill of XVIII century, located in the ancient centre of the village Surano, immersed in an ancient citrus grove with a private pool 5 x 10 mt, 5 big bedrooms with high stars vaults of the time, 5 bathrooms, big living, corridor and a big kitchen for 12 people. Surrounded by a dry stone walls. For it's position all the facilities are at walking distance. supermarkets, grocery, food shop, bakery, pharmacy, pizzerias and trattoria, ( home restaurant) etc..
it is at only 15 minutes to reach the crystal clear waters of Castro Marina and 20 minutes drive to reach the white sand beaches of Alimini, Otranto, on the Adriatic coast. Ideal location to house families gathered. The price is for 10 people but with a supplement you can reach an ideal accommodation for up to 13 or 14 ( 10 adults +4 children). 5 very spacious double bedrooms, with queen-size beds, and 3 triple bedrooms (27 sq. m large), with double beds plus sofa beds and 5 private bathrooms with shower. One of the largest bedrooms can become a quadruple bedroom, with double bed plus 2 sofa beds. All the bedrooms have their own private entrance that overlooks the internal courtyard of the villa. It is equipped with all modern comforts, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, winter heating, digital TVSat , and 4 large ancient stone fireplaces. BBQ at the extern area near the dining table, gazebo for living areas and stone sofa. The villa is surrounded by the green also at its externe, 1 hectar bordering, even it is in the centre of the village.

Surano village is alone 15 minutes driving to Castro Marina sea, travelling along the enchanted countryside shortcuts, between dry stone low walls, olive trees, myrtle, fig trees, and cactus.
The history:Mulino Santo Spirito was the ancient village mill, late 1600; it was part of the large Santo Spirito farmhouse where all the necessary for the people in town was produced. After its restoration, it is now presented as a charming villa of 300 sq.m and 1000 sq. m of outdoor garden area with citruses, pool, gazebo, a wide external living and dining space with spacious and private courtyard at the entrance. The villa has an "L" shape and is located in the village centre, with plenty of conveniences on hand. You can park in front of the gate where there's a recess or the adjacent roads. As soon as you enter, you cross the private courtyard with citrus tree and overlooking you'll see the double bedrooms and you can access the living area. From here you access the living room, the big kitchen and you enter the corridor and the sleeping area.The living and the wide kitchen are facing the main garden with wide glass doors, fitted with shutters and mosquito nets. The external and private area of the villa, of approximately 1000 sq.m, has large spaces under gazebo of dinner table for 10, the shade of citrus grove with lemon trees, orange trees, tangerine trees, and grapefruit trees. It has a dining area covered by a gazebo made with sugarcanes with a teak table and chairs for up to 12 people, a living area with external sofa and armchairs, and an ancient pillar that invites you to the pool. The private pool is exclusively used for the people who rent the villa, it is surrounded and protected by ancient dry stone walls that make it really discreet, it has a large cane gazebo with a cosy stone sofa and it’s equipped with sun loungers, exterior shower and the natural shade of the citrus trees. The house, restructured by keeping the traditions of the era in mind, has kept its charm with its majestic stone star vaults, the original chimneys and it also has an enchanting view of the surrounding green environment, other than the property itself, of approximately 1 hectare. Ideal for those that wish to have privacy and live a relaxing holiday immersed in the green. A few steps away from the villa you can find all the town's conveniences, and you can go on foot to pick up groceries, go to the bar, tobacconists, newsagent at 100 metres from home, visit the surrounding historical monuments or go to the trattoria or pizzeria a few steps away from the village square. In the living room there is a large stone chimney, welcoming couches and armchairs, digital TV, Sky TV, pantry and storage room. From the large glass wall of the lving room you can enjoy the view of the citrus trees and swimming pool. Internally, from the large living room you can access the kitchen that also works as a dining room with a comfortable table for up to 12 people and a stone chimney. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, oven, 5 hobs, a fridge with freezer, stone chimney, wide counter top underneath the large stone hood, storage room furnishings. The double bedrooms are: Rosso Mulino, Olivella, Melagrana, Opunzia, and Stella. Melagrana and Opunzia (25 sq. m) can become triple. Stella, with the wooden mezzanine, reserved with an access door that invites you to the staircase. All the bedrooms have a private bathroom, some are en suite, with wonderful stone lunette vaults, gracefully furnished, some with an original chimney of the era. The villa is a stone's throw from the charming village square with the ancient Mother Church, the noble main palace with olive mill where you can purchase a delicious extra virgin olive oil. Visit the typical village alleyways, a few steps away, where you will find bars, pizzeria, typical shops and a supermarket at the village entrance. At 150 metres, just before the Mother Church you will find "La Bersagliera" trattoria, with typical food from Salento, a welcoming and charming place visited by tourists and Italians alike, where you can dine trough all the seasons. "Surano" is the ideal place, as a geographical departure point to reach the sea on the Adriatic hillside, from Castro Marina to Otranto. Then we have the Santa Cesarea thermal baths, a wonderful spa, Andrano, Marittima, Tricase. In summer it shines with the typical illuminations of Salento that dress the central square that welcomes various festivals of the typcal "Pizzica", the Salento Taranta dance. Not far away from Surano you can visit many other villages since this part of Salento is rich in history and ancient towns, one next to the other, around a lot of countryside with the secular Belvedere Wood. Local markets with typical products near Poggiardo and Tricase, Monday through Friday in Lecce. The wine cellars can be visited and you can also taste our wines made with "negroamaro" and "primitivo" grapes, in great demand all around the world and winners of the Vinitaly, like the Menhir in Minervino, or Duca Castel di Salveor the Duca Guarini wine cellar at Scorrano. As well as tasting the wines you can also dine, upon booking. Holy Spirit Mill is an ideal location to explore all of Salento. It's just a 20 minutes drive from the white fortress medieval city of Otranto on the Adriatic coast, and 30 minutes to Lecce, famous capital of the Baroque style. The closest town is Maglie, just 6 km up the road, which is a jewel of Baroque, very famous due to its lively centre town and all the fashionable activity that goes with it. The opposite Ionian coast with enchanting sand beaches from 20 minutes to 30 minutes drive.
