Have just returned from a fabulous week staying in Casa Vera in Portugal. We were not disappointed. Stunning rustic villa set in the hills overlooking a beautiful valley down to the sea. Cool inside. Lovely veranda and pool area, perfect for a quiet chilled week away. No noise, nice restaurant next door, friendly locals. The villa has every thing you need for a self catering holiday. Loved it and hope to return soon.
Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Casa Vera! Feel completely relaxed after spending time at such a tranquil location. Vera is both charming and characterful and our teenagers as well as our toddler loved being there. The pool is great and we also visited the nearest beach, water park and beautiful Benagil caves. Local restaurants are lovely, the meat is very good! And very reasonable, a real locals taste of Portugal. The host, Ann has been fantastic and couldn’t be more hospitable, the holiday company are also really helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending Casa Vera and miss it already! Enjoy!

This is our second visit to Casa Vera the tranquility and views never fail to surprise us. The perfect location for anyone who enjoys the simple things in life️ Lots of trails on your door step for anyone to who wants to go walking. Beautiful quirky towns nearby if you want to go and sight see or sample everyday Portugueses life. The food and selection of restaurants is amazing with a small family run restaurant right next door to Casa Vera. There are various secluded areas in the gardens of Casa Vera to rest read swim or exercise. This place is a hidden gem for anyone you just want to relax and recharge their batteries. We cannot speak highly enough of Annie Roy and Ella who are amazing hosts xx
We have just returned from another very pleasant stay at Casa Vera, Ann, Roy, and Ella's comfortable and well equipped villa. The view down to the coast was as wonderful as we remembered and the garden and the valley beyond were great for nature. Golden Orioles had nested nearby and there were exotic butterflies among the flowers. We bought our food in the markets and supermarkets in Tavira and São Brás and ate our meals outdoors. We also tried the restaurant next door which served excellent traditional dishes. The weather was good - warm enough but not too hot for walking in the towns, villages and countryside. Of the several beaches nearby our favourites are Barril and Fuseta. I just wished we could have stayed longer than a week.

Thank you so much Mike and Sue for your kind words. We look forward to welcoming you again soon! Best regards Ann Roy and Ella (For Casa Vera)
Boa tarde Ann, Well, what a wonderful time we have had! We had plans to do this, that and the other but C V is so lovely that any time we have gone out for a trip we just couldn’t wait to get back! The house is perfect, all mod cons without loosing any of its charm, you have done a wonderful job with it. The garden and terraces are beautiful and so, so peaceful and full of life! I have seen so many different bird species, many of them ‘firsts’ even though I did forget to pack my binoculars! We really have been rather lazy! We have had 4 lunches at Cantihna do Serra which was good fun and good food (esp the wild boar stew!), other than that we have ‘eaten in’ and it has been so relaxing - shock to the system tomorrow when we’ve actually got to do something! The weather has been good and we’ve used the pool most days (and kept it topped up). Stefanie from Happy Homes met us on arrival and was good as gold and she’s messaged to say she’ll be here again in the morning. So, we are all geared up for the journey home and looking forward to seeing the family, dogs and garden and it does look as if the weather might be brightening up a bit too. Thank you very much for letting us share your hillside hideaway it has been truly magical! Very best wishes, Tchau, Alan & Lyn.
