Beautiful Villa Sitio Dos Covoes, Salir, Loule, 8100-175, Portugal Date of Stay 5 Aug 2016 We have just returned from two fantastic, hot weeks staying in Casa Jules! This amazing Villa with spectacular views was a real treat and our lovely hosts Jules and Jorge made us feel very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble and even when we had car problems they were both there to lend a hand. The children gobbled down the lovely desserts that Jules made for us and marvelled at the wildlife as the birds visited for a drink from the pool, the lizards popped out of the stones and the moths drank nectar from the beautiful flowers. The orange trees provided us with fresh orange juice and the views around the Villa were stunning! A brilliant holiday and memories to treasure!! My Response Wow! Many thanks for such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to have such a lovely family staying there. So pleased that you all had a great holiday, you are welcome back anytime!
The Cooney Family said... 1 Aug 2014 Fabulous villa!Sitio Dos Covoes, Salir, Loule, 8100-175, Portugal Date of Stay 24 Jul 2014 Helpful votes: 0/0 Just returned from a wonderful week with my family at Casa Jules. We had the most relaxing time, most of it spent in the fantastic pool and sitting outside enjoying the amazing views with a glass of local wine. The villa was very well equipped with everything you would need and the owners Julie and Jorge were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble, they also provided a cot, highchair and buggy for our 2 year old daughter. On arrival a cold beer was waiting in the fridge with a home-made lemon cheesecake which was the best I have tasted! The local town is only a 5 minute drive away with a supermarket and butcher and a couple of café/restaurants. We had our daily trip there for ice cream and a café latte which cost 1.70 euro for 2 coffees!! We only had one day trip to the local beach as the pool and villa were just too nice to leave. The kids loved exploring the grounds and playing in the hammock but most of all swimming in the pool. We both go running and there is a great path/track around the hills in the area surrounding the villa with amazing views, just need to go early before it gets too hot!! Only wish we had stayed longer as a week is not enough, next year we will make sure we book for 10 days at least! Thank you Julie and Jorge for a fantastic holiday. Baz said... 28 Aug 2013 A little piece of Heaven in the Algarve Date of Stay 18 Jun 2013 If you are looking for peace, tranqulity and luxury in the sun, then this is the place for you! My family and I spent a week at this fabulous location and could have stayed much longer given half a chance. The villa is beautifully presented, in a very quiet little hamlet at the top of a hill just outside Loule. The views are fantastic, the large pool is a delight and the villa has everything you could need to entertain the family during your stay. The three bedrooms are furnished to a high standard with the master bedroom on the first floor with it's own balcony and en-suite bathroom. The two doubles on the ground floor have their own terrace and share the very well equipped bathroom. The kitchen has every convenience a chef could need and with the outside charcoal and gas BBQ's and the wood burning stove, you are spoilt for choice. The lounge and dining room are extremely comfortable with satellite TV, DVD's and lots of games to enjoy. There is a dishwasher, a number of fridges and a freezer so shopping does not have to be a daily occurrence! That said, the local village at the bottom of the hill has a very well stocked supermarket with a very helpful butcher who spoke good English. The shop has everything you should need but if you do require anything more exotic, there are a couple of large supermarkets in Loule. There is also a charming restaurant in the village that does an excellent steak dinner at an unbeliveable price!! The villa has an extensive garden with lots of seating areas, a pool table and a table tennis area. There is a hammock in a lovely shaded area between the trees, but be careful, as a 30 min knap tends to end if 4-5 hours of deep, contented sleep! I would recommend this villa to anyone who wants to get away from it all, relax, swim, eat, drink and admire the views. If you like the nightlife or want to mingle with others then either don't come here, or better still, hire a car and get the best of both worlds! Julie and Gorge have a gorgeous villa and could not have been more kind and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although planned to have several days out, could not drag oursleves away from the villa for very long. If you go, don't plan too many trips out or you may find you're on your own in the car!!Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Pet-friendly, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers. My Response Wow, what a review! It really does mean so much to us. I am stuck for words - unusual for me! You are all welcome back anytime - fabulous guests! Thank you, Julie and Jorge xxx
