Description

Casa Redonda is situated on the Quinta da Saudade. The Quinta da Saudade is a small British-run estate of privately-owned villas. It occupies approximately twenty-four acres about five miles west of Albufeira.

The Quinta nestles in the peaceful country setting of an old hillside farm estate. It is surrounded by orange, almond and olive trees and is about forty-five minutes drive from the Airport at Faro.

The nearest beach is less than two miles away. It is a magnificent long stretch of sand, bounded by dunes, where you can escape the crowds, even in August.

There are two swimming pools, a children’s play area and shallow pool. The Quinta also has a tennis court, table tennis, petanque and crazy golf in the orchard. On site is a restaurant and bar in the old farmhouse. And there is a pool bar open throughout the day.

The Riding Stables at the Quinta da Saudade have some fabulous horses that are available for gallops across the dunes or slow hacks through the countryside.

There are attractive country walks in the vicinity and there is a wetlands nature reserve nearby with a wealth of bird and plant life not commonly found in the UK. Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Alpine Swift, Bee Eater, Red Necked Night Jar, Azure Winged Magpie and more.

Casa Redonda at the Quinta da Saudade is situated slightly away from the main group of villas so offers our guests complete privacy.

The villa is air-conditioned throughout and this is included in the rent except from November through till March when it is charged as is the electricity and logs. It has wireless internet.

It has an entrance hall/dining-room, a good-size sitting room, a twin bedroom and a newly renovated en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, WC, sink with storage, electric towel rail and wall heater. The bathrooms looks out onto the newly planted olive trees.

The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, double sink, microwave oven, electric oven with eye level grill, and a hob with both electric and gas rings. It is very well equipped.

The sitting-room has a television receiving English, Portuguese and other satellite channels, a DVD player and a digital radio.

For Winter occupation, there is a good stove/open fire in the sitting-room and electric heaters throughout.

There is a forty metre long garden with terrace and built-in barbecue. Outside are tables and chairs for eating out as well as sun loungers and umbrellas. There is a beautiful orchard at the end of the garden full of orange and lemon trees. Also on the top level of the garden are some delicious fig trees. Please help yourselves to the fruit when it is in season.

Bedding and towels are provided but not towels for the beach or pools.

The villa is for two people. An extra bed or cot can be put in for a child or baby at an extra cost.

The villa rental is inclusive of maid service and utilities. If you are staying in the villa between November and mid-April, you will be charged for electricity and logs. This is when we charge a basic rent for the villa.

Just to say that we had a great time at Casa Redonda last week. The villa (and the immediate area) is very much to our liking and we certainly plan to go back, hopefully for a bit longer next time.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic stay at Casa Redonda. We honestly could not fault anything. To be honest we preferred it to all the other places our friends were staying in for Christine''s wedding. It had so much character. Hopefully we will return very soon. It was our first visit to the Algarve and we loved it. Thanks again.

Thank you Melanie for the trouble free booking in Casa Redonda, we loved the villa and all its comfort, the garden was beautiful and it was so nice to relax in such pretty surroundings, it had all the comforts of home in a well equiped villa with everything we needed even down to English Tv channels.It was so nice to have a welcome pack for us in the villa , the weather was beautiful and we had a lovely holiday on the Quinta..Thank you.

We did enjoy our stay at Casa Redonda and must compliment you on this superb villa, It is very comfortable and is without doubt the best equipped villa we have ever stayed in. The garden is also well equipped with many beautiful plants making it a very pleasant environment in which to enjoy the sunshine - which I''m pleased to say was available in abundance for most of our 10-day stay.

Casa Redonda is a delightful villa which we have visited several times ! It''s peaceful location, beautiful garden and spacious interior all contribute to a great holiday experience. The facilities at the villa are perfect for a couple wanting a relaxing break.The barbecue area is a fabulous place to have a leisurely breakfast or lunch or a cool glass of Vino Verde in the warm early evening sun. A short walk away from the villa is a lovely beach with a wonderful nature reserve close by and if you are a wild life fan there is plenty to interest you here. The Quinta also boasts 2 pools tennis courts and horse riding can also be arranged so there really is something for everyone. We have returned year after year as Casa Redonda represents the perfect location for a wonderful relaxing break !

Haven of calm

As always, Casa Redonda was a haven of calm and relaxation for us! The weather started superbly but the last few days weren''t as good so we got an earlier flight, coming back yesterday. Hope to come back again next year.
