At first, the road to the mill was a little scary - twisty and narrow, but after a couple of days we were going up and down that road like old pros in our big people carrier. (The road isn''t as narrow as it feels on that first trip). The mill is very homely - lots of nice personal touches, and really felt like home. Everything we needed was there. Louisa and Julio are absolutely lovely - always available by text. They were very patient with us while we picked their brains on everything about the local area and the Spanish language. Unlike other reviews I''ve read for other properties - at no time did we feel that they were ''keeping an eye'' on us. We had absolute privacy. Would highly recommend this lovely mill in rural Andalucia.
It was the perfect place to spend a few quiet days with my family. We had a wonderful time. The upstairs terrace is really beautiful with an idyllic setting and a wonderful private pool. It was everything we needed. Louisa and Julio are very friendly hosts who were at our disposal throughout our stay. A big thank you to you it was great
Louisa and Julio are great hosts. We felt welcome and taken care of. We came with small children and Louisa organised the cot and the chair for us in advance. The place is nice and clean. Sometimes it was too hot, especially at night. But I believe they will be installing the AC soon. We had a great time - slow living. The place is fairly far from most big cities, so we drove a lot. Overall very happy.
Perfect place for peace and tranquility. We had a wonderful stay and Louisa was great - very friendly, helpful and provided clear instructions and directions and full of local knowledge. Amazing private outdoor space with a pool which isn’t overlooked but you have views right across the valley. Lots of wildlife, completely surrounded by nature. We couldn’t fault it!
Just what we needed. Quiet, beautiful location and a great pool. Louisa and Julio were wonderful hosts with Dolli the dog Dog adding to the warm welcome. The Valley setting provides good walking wìth great views and tranquility for down time. Our Fiat 500 was equal to road from Periana. Periana itself is easily accessible for shopping and essential morning coffees. The lake and hotel at Vinuela are worth the short trip as is Nerja and the Balcon de Europa. All in all the perfect mountain getaway
