A lovely generous size property, more than adequate for our group, 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The villa is clean and very well equipped, the pool is a great size. Super views from the balcony. The location is great with easy access to beaches within a 20-25 minute drive. Óbidos is just 10 minutes away. There is a lovely small restaurant and bar (Tables) within walking distance, it provides decent food and drink at a very reasonable price. A car in this area is a necessity. Communication with the owner, Colin was great, we had a great stay!
We had a lovely week in Colin's Villa in Carvalhal. The villa is well equipped and left us wanting for nothing while we were there. There is plenty of space for the 9 people who were in. More than enough sun beds and space to sit at meal times. Colin is a great host, who couldn't be more helpful (not that we needed any assistance while we were there). The area is great with some great beaches, lovely towns close by and Lisbon is easily accessible. Overall, we had a great time in Carvalhal and can thoroughly recommend this villa and the area..
From the moment we arrived at this beautiful property, we were blown away with how spacious, well equipped and homely this villa was. It was tastefully furnished with absolutely everything you could possibly need catered for. The pool and outside area with ample sunbeds and toys for the children were enjoyed every day. We visited many places including the local villages, restaurants and beaches and thoroughly enjoyed everything the area had to offer. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone, we were so happy there and will have so many memories of our stay for many years to come.
We had a really enjoyable stay with the age of guests ranging from 3 years to 70+. Everyone was catered for. We all enjoyed the pool (glad we added the heating as it was chilly some days), loved the table tennis and table football and adults loved the coffee machine! Lots of equipment for outdoor games too, we enjoyed windy badminton and bowls on the lawns. Views are spectacular, we loved breakfast and dinners on the balcony. It's a really quiet location with easy access to motorway for beaches, Obidos is a beautiful town. So much is available at the villa including wind breaker and parasols, buckets and spades, pool toys so you don't need to bring anything. And lots to make children safe and comfortable including stair gate, high chairs, cot and bed guard. The owners keep brilliant contact, providing lots of useful information before you travel so you can make some plans for your stay and also how to avoid a terrifying roundabout leaving the airport! The information book is invaluable for continuing with your plans to explore locally and slightly further afield and selecting what is suitable for the age range of your party. We had a fabulous holiday and are sad we're back to reality! Beautiful villa and beautiful part of Portugal.
This is a wonderful holiday property and I would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Every amenity has been thought of and the attention to detail was second to none. The information folder was fantastic with little side notes and suggestions. Thank you so much for a memorable holiday. Just what was required after the last couple of years.
We have stayed at many self catering properties. This is simply the best. Really well equipped with fantastic attention to details from the owners. Very spacious, lovely gardens and pool with games room. Easy location close to motorway so quick access to beach, Obidos and lagoon.
