La Casina is a charming cottage for two people set in a tiny hamlet of four houses at the end of a private road in the centre of a wine and olive oil estate in the hills south of Florence. It is splendidly positioned with a wide view over the nearby wooded hills and distant mountains and has a large lawn area with a gazebo from which to enjoy this special view.
La Casina, which means ‘the little house’, consists of an open plan room with kitchen, sitting room and dining table; a double bedroom which can be made in to a twin bedroom, and a bathroom with shower. It is comfortably furnished in traditional Tuscan style with an open fire place for cosy winter evenings and Air Conditioning for the hotter months.
The swimming pool, which is shared with two other holiday lets for a maximum of eleven people, is just a few paces away. It is surrounded by a lawn area giving space for privacy and there is an outdoor shower and olive trees to give shade.
The estate is 15 kms from Florence and within 10 minutes by car from the tramway that takes you directly into the centre of the city. It is also very close and centrally placed for access to main autostrada routes to other lovely cities. Local small towns provide all shopping necessities and the nearby village of S. Vincenzo a Torri boasts a wonderful Bar with the best pasticceria in the area! There are several good restaurants not far away, and La Casa di Caccia, which is within the same estate, serves wild game from the local woods.
The owners live in the farm estate’s main villa and are always ready to help and advize.
