Relax!

By Silke M on 28-Sep-2022

If you are looking for a place to relax, swim and enjoy a good book, this is the place to go! A very charming house with everything you need to unwind. The view is spectacular, the pool big enough to swim laps and the kitchen has everything to cook a propper meal. The property manager was always responsive and helpful. It takes 40 minutes to go to Lucca and one hour to Pisa. The nearest larger supermarkets you can reach within 15-20 minutes, but there are small stores within 10-15 minutes of reach. Plenty of restaurants in the area. A great place to unwind. However, you need to do a bit of driving to visit sights. We got used to driving the narrow road up to the house. We can recommend staying at this place.

Splendid isolation with a lovely view

By Robert L on 14-Aug-2022

The house itself is suitably furnished and equipped (no AC, but fans were OK even in August). The main attraction is the garden and pool area with its uninterrupted views over the hills. Whilst it is possible to eat out in the evenings, there is nothing close by and I didn''t fancy the winding drive up the hill to the house in the dark. So this property would suit a group of people who intend to take it easy - cook for themselves, drink and enjoy the sunshine - maybe visit some of the hilltop villages during the day (have a spot of lunch?). This is what we did and we had a good time.

Beautiful villa with beautiful pool

Beautiful villa with all comforts. Pleasant swimming pool. Nice location, but a bit of a scary road for large cars.

Tranquility and a fantastic view

By Jürgen N on 09-Sep-2021

We really enjoyed our stay, everything was extremely well maintained, very clean and very nicely decorated. The equipment in the kitchen was excellent, there was also a grill. A small "welcome kit" was also very nice, i.e. there were drinks in the fridge and other small things. The pool was of course the highlight, wonderful size, so that you could do your laps there every day. The view was sensational, the quiet pleasant. Would come back anytime. The only downside: the road to the villa is a bit narrow, i.e. if you have a slightly larger car and a car comes at you in the "wrong curve", it can get "a bit tight". But this is negligible in the overall package. So thumbs up for this beautiful accommodation, communication with the agency and landlord was also very good.

Fantastic view

Villa Pineta is located on a hill surrounded by a forest. The view from the terrace is fantastically beautiful. The pool is fantastic. In reality it is even more beautiful than in the pictures. We felt very comfortable, enjoyed the peace and quiet. In the village you can shop and eat out. A very good place to relax.

Great house in a secluded location, fantastic pool

By Familie Efken on 09-Jul-2021

We stayed in the house for two weeks with our family of five. The house is an old country house in a secluded location on a fairly large plot of land with a view of a wooded valley. The next town can be reached by car in 5-10 minutes. There you will find shops and restaurants. Without a car there are few options. The three bedrooms are modernly furnished and have ceiling fans. The rather dark ground floor has a living room, kitchen and a small walk-through dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped and also offers enough crockery for larger families. When the temperatures are hot in summer, the three refrigerators and the small icebox are perfect! Bed linen and towels were changed after a week. The highlight for us was the pool area with the 15 meter long pool, comfortable loungers, sun umbrellas and shower. From the house you can drive to Lucca in 30 minutes and to Pisa in 60 minutes. The Garfagnana offers great nature and the small villages and towns in the area make the Tuscany feeling perfect. One can only criticize that some of the furnishings are already quite dilapidated. The loungers by the pool, the hand crank for the awning or the shower by the pool will soon be broken and should be replaced in a high-end hotel before this happens. We had a very nice time in the house and can only recommend it.
