Six of us stayed for a week in early September. In the run up to the holiday Carlos the property manager was very helpful and it was easy to pay off to deposit and remaining balance. He even let us check in earlier and leave later because of our flight times. On arrival the owners were quick to arrive and let us in - they even stocked the fridge with some beers! The villa itself was spotless with lovely gardens and really spacious - the pool was a great size and had the bonus of a poolside fridge. Our towels were changed once during the week and the owners were really friendly and happy to help. I would advise renting a car for sure as the property is at the top of a hill. All in all, a fantastic holiday so thank you to Carlos and the team!
We arrived quite late and gained access via a security key holder. This was a lovely villa with ample space for our party of 10. The villa had a wonderful pool area with a small bar area and poolside fridge which was helpful to keep our drinks cool. The bbq area was a good bonus with seating for 10 and we had several bbq evenings during our stay. The villa was nicely furnished. There was plenty of parking within the villas grounds as well as outside the front door area. A couple of downsides were that one of the downstairs bedrooms did not have air conditioning and the same room plus the twin room did not have any wardrobes or even hooks in the rooms so our clothes remained creased in the cases for 10 days. Wardrobes should be a basic requirement. The hot water became a problem as it ran out everyday when only 5 persons out of our party of 10 had showered - there were a lot of cold showers during our stay! We did have an issue with not enough sun beds for our party of 10 and a problem with the electric, but a quick call to Carlos and the problems were resolved. There is an area in the basement which doesn’t appear to be used other than for storage, but would be perfect as a games room. The cleaners attended and changed the towels during our 10 day stay but the sheets were not changed. There was a communication issue with one of the cleaners and a misunderstanding ensued but that was resolved. The villa is set up a very steep hill and there is nothing in walking distance so a car is necessity. Carlos kindly allowed us to extend our stay due to a late flight departure. All in all we had a wonderful stay at Villa Silva and would thoroughly recommend it.
