Mikes apartment was perfectly situated for us. Just a few meters to the sea for snorkelling, the beach 500 meters away and the old village 2mins walk. Well kitted out with everything we need. Nice host who recommended Ken the cabbie for our airport transfer.

Thank you for taking trouble to do a review. Our new cleaners are settling and we have appointed a Manager to address any problems. Everything convenient, as you say, and some best snorkelling off the Islas Medes. Come back again and try again next year(some excellent Golf at Emporda Golf as well). Kind regards Michael
Beautiful, clean apartment with everything you need (and more!) - it’s the most well-equipped self-catering accommodation we’ve stayed in. The pool never got busy (and we holidayed in August) which was lovely and it was extremely clean and well maintained. Stunning views from the balcony - we watched amazing sunrises and enjoyed several evening meals out there. The pebbly beaches within 2 minutes walk were great for going out snorkelling in clear waters (would advise taking water shoes as opposed to bare feet). 5 minutes further is a beautiful sandy beach (quite small so got quite busy) and then several more beaches (less busy) within easy walking distance. Michael advised no need to hire a car and I’m glad we didn’t. L’Escala has lots of bars, restaurants, lovely shops within easy walking distance - and there’s the little local road train if you want to go slightly further and save your legs. We had an amazing holiday, would 100% recommend the location and apartment for any age group and would love to return in the future. Thanks Michael!
The apartment punta romana is the most beautiful , clean and well equipped place we have ever stayed and we travel a lot Location , facilities and views second to none with everything you need. The information pack allowed us to settle in very quickly and sample fabulous restaurants we may well have missed . Thank you Michael

Dear Sue and Mark, as experienced Sawdays hosts yourselves it is particularly pleasing to have such positive comments. I did approach Sawdays myself but the category of accomodation I offer is not within their remit. Thank you again ,I hope we can welcome you back to Punta Romana in the future. Kindest regards, Michael
Michael’s apartment is all you need for a happy restful time in L’Escala - close to all the little beaches, sandy and rocky, heavenly sea and delicious places to eat. The apartment is perfect for a family of four, compact but spacious enough and the balcony has amazing views both night and day, amazing stars! The communal pool is perfect too. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. No air con but plenty of fans. We’ve already recommended it to others and hope to be back!

Thank you for the review Laura, and for recommending to others. You and family are always welcome. Kind regards Michael
The apartment was just great, it had everything we needed as holidaymakers. The balcony was sizeable (we spent most of our time there), the electric canopy was SUCH an asset, and the view was spectacular. The sofa was exceptionally comfortable as were the beds. We only used one bedroom and there was plenty of storage and places to put things. It is certainly the best apartment I think we have stayed in and I HIGHLY recommend it. We were within easy walking distance of the village (local Spar there but bigger supermarkets a little further away if needed), restaurants and beaches so if you wanted to you could leave your car (if you travelled there with one) in the basement garage for the duration of your stay. We like to get out and about a bit so found the basement garage slot a bit hard to get in and out of on a regular basis. It caused a bit of angst so we gave up, found a free parking place about ten mins walk from Punta Romana, and organized our days around this. The parking stress was immediately lifted! The slot would be easier for very small cars! There are a lot of keys to get used to and there was definitely a knack for getting the front door to the apartment to open, twist, and pull sort of thing. Sometimes the garden gate key to the excellent pool needed a bit of cajoling too. My only niggles with the apartment (and they're really picky) are that the shower could have been more powerful and the fridge more effective. They didn't spoil the stay one bit. It wasn't clear what to do with the rubbish generated but we just copied the natives and put it in the bins that are strategically placed around the village. I wonder whether one of those bins that you can use to separate out recycling products from the rubbish put in the flat would be a good idea? A tip we would have is to get up early to do any activities so that you can be back at the apartment for "siesta" time and swim! We got to Cadaques too late to park so carried on round the headland and found a quieter place with a harbour to have lunch. If you want to visit museums etc it's wise to book in advance. We did this with the Salvador Dali museum in Figueres which incidentally is well worth a visit. We visited Begur, a pretty village with a sort of fort at the top of a hill for some lovely views though impossible to find a seat for a coffee on market day! We also visited what we called "Ceramic City"! Loads of ceramics shops all selling similar items and there are a few antique shops too. There are some pretty villages round and about too and a walk to St Marti is always worth it, just not at the hottest time of day! If you're thinking of renting the apartment I think you should. You won't be disappointed; Michael was extremely helpful before we went and if we'd needed him during the stay I'm sure he'd have been just as helpful! We loved our stay!

Dear Phil and Kathryn, thank you for your comprehensive review. All points noted for action where possible. You are welcome you back anytime. Michael
The top floor apartment has all you need & has spectacular views across the bay. There is a swimming pool and the sea is a stone’s throw away where you can safely swim, snorkel and paddle board. The apartment is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to sandy beaches, the restaurants and bars around the old towns small sandy beach. L’Escala is a small quiet town, frequented in the main by Spanish families. It is not a tourist hotspot and thankfully the British holidaymakers have not yet found this ‘gem’! We loved it so much that we have immediately booked it for next year (2023)
