We stayed as a family of 8 at the villa in April. Location - It's approx a 10-15 min walk to a large supermarket and a further 5 mins to the bars and restaurants at the Marina (there is a steep hill but a cab back is only around 5-7 euros). The town is another few mins on from the marina and has many eating and drinking places for all ages and preferences. It ws about an hour drive from Faro airport. Villa - The villa itself is very well set out and kept to a high level of maintenance. The pool is large and maintained by the pool guy every couple of days. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with all of the pots and pans and utensils needed. The games room was a great addition and was well used due to a couple of bursts of rain! The 1st floor terrace was also a really nice place to sit anytime of the day. We had a couple of questions and they were answered straight away by both Chris and Dinis who we found also very helpful with local information.
We holidayed at Casa Maurice for 2 weeks in August 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The property is very well equipped and maintained and in a perfect location, no car necessary unless you are planning on visiting other areas. The main supermarket is a 20-25 minute walk, just ask the cashiers to arrange a taxi back, cost is around 6 Euros, the beach which is stunning is no more than 15 minutes away and the town centre 30-35 minutes at a casual pace. We only had to call on the services of Dinis (local manager for the owner Chris Bradfield) once, as the lights stopped working in the games room, he was round within 10 minutes and sorted the problem straight away. This attention to detail is clearly instigated from the owner Chris, as the communication you receive is nothing short of exemplary. The property had ample space for us all (2 families), 4 x adults, 2 x 18 year olds, 1 x 15 year old and 1 x 8 year old and nobody was ever bored. Our holiday was probably one of the most relaxing we have had and wouldn't hesitate at staying again."
Thank you! As always Casa Maurice was perfect again, it's just a shame we can't come again next year as all the school holidays are fully booked. We will definitely be back in 2021. My cousin Leanne has booked for October half term.
