As a family of four we had a really good stay. Communication with the owner very straightforward and prompt. The villa is clean, well equipped, in a good location, very peaceful, sun all day (with plenty of shade when needed), nice pool and modern kitchen. The only minor issues we had were ants, in kitchen and bathroom, but largely standard in southern Spain and relatively easy to keep in check with the right aerosol! And a few people parking close to the gate making in/out manoeuvres tricky on a few days. La Herradura is lovely and we’d definitely stay again.

Thank you very much for your review and we are delighted you enjoyed San Gonzalos. Ants are a perpetual problem in the summer months although a good dose of ant powder/spray normally does the trick.
It takes under an hour from Malaga airport by car to reach the villa, which is in a very quiet residential area. Although there are other houses nearby, the garden is not overlooked and our week in the villa felt very private. The layout is great, with two decent sized bedrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs) plus an upstairs lounge which is also equipped to be used as a third bedroom if necessary. There is plenty of room for a family, with seating available EVERYWHERE. The upstairs balcony has sea views, looking down over the bay which was a great place to eat breakfast and evening meals, whilst the patio has a ceiling fan and an outside fridge, meaning lunches and drinks could be kept cool. Access to the pool is perfect, directly from the downstairs patio doors, and is well maintained. The kitchen is relatively compact, but by no means uncomfortable, and the appliances again are modern and work well. It is a comfortable walk to the small village/town of La Herradura in under 15 minutes which has a great selection of small coffee shops and restaurants, whilst the beach is clean and quiet. We loved our stay and will be returning next year

Thank you very much for your kind review which says everything. We look forward to welcoming you back next year.
We have enjoyed a couple of visits now to this villa which is perfect for a relaxing family holiday. The pool is a good size and depth (probably more suited to older children), plenty of seating inside and outside, umbrellas etc to make your stay comfortable. It is in a quiet and peaceful urbanisation with lovely views, a short drive to the town, beaches, shops etc. Communication with the owner is very good, everything very well maintained, clean and in good working order. Well kept garden, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds!

Thank you so much for your very kind review and it is always a pleasure to welcome back returning guests.
The villa had everything we needed. Easy 10+min walk too and from the beachfront (slight climb back but doable). We had some lovely meals out and BBQs in the garden. The area is really pleasant. The villa garden and pool are pretty and private. Sea views when you open the blinds, a lovely way to start the day. Communication with the owner has been helpful and efficient. The only positives, a lovely 10 days.

Thank you so much for your kind review and we are delighted you had an enjoyable holiday at San Gonzalos and hope we can welcome you back at some stage in the future.
We took a much needed break at the very end of the season and spent a few delightful days at San Gonzalos close to La Herradura on the Costa del Sol. The villa was all we could have asked for with great facilities, both inside and out, lovely garden and pool, and superb views over the Mediterranean. We opted for a quiet time whilst there but there were plenty of bars and restaurants open in nearby La Herradura and Almunecar. Although there were only the two of us staying, the villa provides plenty of room and facilities for 4 or more - we would definitely recommend it, especially during months when the private pool would be a real treat!

Thank you very much for your kind review and we are so pleased that San Gonzalos lived up to your expectations.
The villa was in an ideal location - near enough to the motorway for getting around and not far from La Herradura for bars, restaurants and a few shops. We made full use of the pool and the outside area and the views from the upstairs terrace are superb. All needs are catered for and the outside chairs/loungers are very comfortable. A great villa resulting in a great holiday. Thank you
