House near Agia Triada, Koroni, Peloponnese - 8 Minutes Walk to two Quiet Local Sandy Beaches
About Our Property.
Equipped to a high standard for our own use our 3 bedroom house is ideal for a relaxing summer holiday, a spring or autumn break in an unspoilt part of Greece.
From the upstairs balcony there is a spectacular unrestricted panoramic view of the whole of the Kalamata bay, the Mani, and the Taygetos Mountains.
Two local and favourite sandy quiet beaches are 8 minutes walk and there are many other sandy beaches within a short drive.
Our house also provides a base for touring local castles and the archaeological sites of the Peloponnese. It is in a rural peaceful location with We have a peaceful garden with shaded areas at all times of the day. Eat outside on the south and east facing terrace at all times of the year listening to the birds, enjoying a champagne breakfast watching the amazing sunrise or counting the shooting stars at night. Spring and Autumn are ideal times to visit.
Beaches
There are many sandy beaches nearby the nearest of which are Aghia Triada and Lahana, both of which are quiet, even in August, and are 8 minutes walk though the olive grove then down & along a short track past lemon and orange trees. You may be lucky enough to see a tortoise on the way.
Zaga, Memi and Peroulia are nearby sandy beaches within 10 minutes drive with shady beach side tavernas.
We have seen Turtles swimming close to our local beach and in August hatching on Zaga beach..
Travel.
Our house is a 45 minute drive on quiet rural roads from Kalamata Airport and accessed via a concrete driveway.
Check EasyJet, BA, Jet2 & RyanAir for flights from UK April to Oct.
Alternatively consider a flight to Athens then an easy 150ml drive on quiet motorways from Athens Airport to Kalamata with stunning scenery.
We can help you with all travel arrangements, locate the cheapest flights and if required help with overnight B&B accommodation on arrival at Athens airport where Theodore will meet you.
Car Hire
We have an arrangement with an excellent local Car Rental Company based in Kalamata for discounted car hire significantly cheaper than the national companies.
Excursions
Koroni and Methoni castles have Venetian castles which were once the eyes of Venice surveying the shipping lanes between the Adriatic and Crete.
Pylos with its wonderful square is a must see and is a 45 minute drive from Koroni with the unique Voidokilia Bay a further 15 minutes drive.
Ancient Olympia is approximately 2.5 hours drive and even more spectacular is Ancient Messini a 1 hour drive. This is a wonderful area for touring the many archaeological sites.
The Polylimnio Water falls are favourite place to visit and are 45 minutes away, enjoy swimming in the natural fresh water pools.

Koroni is a delightful harbourside town with numerous friendly harbourside tavernas and cafes and unspoilt by tourism, eating out in the tavernas now costs around €40 per couple including wine.
Koroni has a bank with cash machine, a post office, bakeries, butchers, supermarket, grocery shops, patisseries, newsagents, pharmacy and a health centre, everything you need for a self catering holiday.
Koroni's Sunday morning fruit and vegetable market is worth a visit to shop with the friendly local people..
Windsurfing, sea kayaking and sailing are available on Memi beach.
Painting/drawing sessions available locally. Scuba diving, fishing trips and boat hire are available in Pylos. Sailing trips in the Gulf of Messini are now available with Lazy Sailing.

Bedroom 1 with a double bed, built in wardrobes and patio door onto outside terrace

Utility Room with Washing machine, iron, ironing board and clothes rack, beach umbrellas and a cool box with ice packs.
Upstairs
Lounge, Dining area, Kitchen with Fridge/Freezer and seating for 5, opening onto the upstairs Terrace
Bedroom 3 with 1 Single Bed. This is a small room with a full size single bed and more suitable for a child or young teenager, we like to use it as a cosy and quiet reading room.
Separate Toilet
Outside:
Marble patio table with chairs on upstairs balcony. The front garden terrace and rear terrace provide shaded areas at all times of day with their own patio tables and chairs.
Outside shower
Sunbeds.
Air-conditioning/heating is included in the rental price.
Please note this is a 'no smoking house'.
Maid service: Towels and linen are included and are changed weekly, cleaning is weekly. We also provide beach towels.

COVID
Koroni and the surrounding area had few cases of COVID the first not until late summer 2020. Ourselves and our guests feel very safe and have all had relaxing holidays. We give a full refund for bookings cancelled due to COVID restrictions, cancelled flights, quarantine and isolation requirements.
