This is the second time we have stayed here and we can''t wait to go again! It was so difficult to leave. The villa is immaculate, very comfortable and a well equipped kitchen. The view is breathtaking and the sea is just at the bottom of the garden so very easy to cool off in the turquoise sea. Spiros is an exceptional host, nothing is too much trouble and very quick to reply to any texts. We used the kayaks and paddle boards and it was very safe in this cove. There is a new beach bar three mins walk and an excellent taverna which is open for lunch 12-4pm. Brilliant BBQ and dining area at the house so we used this every night. Supermarkets only 8-10 mins away with excellent choice. I cannot recommend this highly enough and the airport is only 20 mins. A WINNER!
We were a family group of 10 ranging from 6 years old to 74 years old. We had a truly amazing week here. The villa is beautiful and the location is breathtaking. Thank you Spyros for being such a great host. All the rooms have stunning views. The new pool that was finished just a few weeks before we arrived was fantastic. Having a salt water chlorinated pool is so much nicer than chlorine. The villas garden leads straight out onto the rocks where you can jump into the crystal clear sea which is just stunning. It’s just like in the movie Mama Mia!! We swam in the sea lots! We also used the Kayaks and Paddle Boards that came with the villa. There were double kayaks, single kayaks and paddle boards enough for all of us to go out together. Spyros provided us all with life jackets which was great. A short stroll along the rocks takes you to a lovely taverna which had great food and drinks. This is located by a small very pretty beach. We hired a car so that we could get supplies from the nearest mini market which was only 5 minutes away. We had such an amazing holiday and we would definitely love to stay here again. We feel like we won the lottery staying at the Grand Villa for our first visit to Greece. The house is beautiful in itself, with all the features you would like. However, the property really shines with its wonderful view of the sea and its beach access. We spent so much time enjoying the water. Only advice - bring or buy water shoes to best enjoy the rocky beaches. Kitchen is well-equipped and beds comfortable. There’s even a housekeeping visit mid-week which gave us an excuse to leave the house and explore the capital. Thanks for creating a great vacation home. If we return to the island, we will be staying here again!
Spyros was so kind and helpful throughout our stay at his beautiful villa. If you get a bit hot in the Greek sun then you have the stunning sea less than a thirty seconds walk away. It’s crazy to get the head around. AC was in every room and there’s a BBQ which was probably the best grill spot I’ve ever had. What a place and what a kind man running it.
If I could give it a 100 stars, I would! Lovely place and lovely host! We had our wedding in July at Villa Avali. This place is in paradise! Everything was beautiful, clean, and beyond every expectation. The location of the villa is out of a fairy tale! We are very grateful for having found this place and we are grateful for our host, Spyros, who was such a welcoming and kind host. Thank you, Spyros! We hope to come visit again soon! ❤️
Villa Avali is a great place to stay at in Kefalonia location is close to both the airport and the largest city Argostoli, spacious with a large balcony and garden you just scroll down the hill and jump for a swim in warm calm clear water. When sitting on the balcony as if you are on a cruise ship looking down into the sea. Many excellent restaurants are close by within a few minutes drive. A care is a must and the owner helped us to find a mini van for my family of seven adults at the peak season with an excellent price. A very friendly and cooperative owner who tries to look after you needs. I recommend this villa for large families with children whom you depend upon to go down to sea on their own. Very quiet private location with a stunning view. I do recommend this villa and look forward to visit again in the future.
