Casa Esondida ( the hidden house )
A charming, traditional Spanish villa located in a quiet residential area of Costa Nova close to both Ambolo & Granadella beaches with a private pool in a lovely garden with Air Conditioning, free Wifi & Cable TV.
Casa Escondida enjoys a very private, elevated but level, south westerly aspect, which is particularly advantageous for early & late season sun, with easy access and is very child friendly.
Local facilities include two supermarkets & bakers (300m) & a number of good restaurants.
The villa is on one level, totally accessible without using steps, ideal for the elderly or young children.
Casa Escondida also benefits from a south westerly aspect which ensures sun throughout the day & has numerous recreational activities which offer entertainment for both children and adults. ie swimming pool, table tennis, golf net.
The sitting room has a wood burning stove, Cable TV with all UK & European TV channels including SKY sports, Catch up TV, Box sets, DVD player and FREE WIFI Internet.
Tosca stone archway leads to a dining room with dining table & chairs to comfortably seat 6 people.
A fully fitted kitchen with traditional style Castilian doors including a cooker with gas hob, washing machine, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle & toaster.
From the dining room a hallway leads to 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
All bedrooms are fitted with Air Conditioning.
Bed 1: Master bedroom with kingsize bed, bedside cabinets, fitted wardrobe with safe & recently fitted en suite bathroom with bath / shower, sink & WC.
Bed 2: Twin bedroom with two single beds, bedside cabinets & fitted wardrobe.
Bed 3: Twin bedroom with two single beds, bedside cabinets & fitted wardrobe.
Recently fitted family bathroom with shower, sink & WC.
There are french doors leading from the dining room to a delightful open Naya (veranda) which overlooks the lovely private swimming pool and garden with views towards Granadella area.
The Naya accommodates private al fresco dining with table & chairs and is completely shaded and tranquil throughout the day. Breakfast here is wonderful in the early morning sun.
An alternative, larger private dining table is provided at the rear of the property with direct access from the kitchen making this area perfect for family dining, BBQ or evening entertainment.
You will also find a portable gas BBQ.
As well as an extensive paved area around the 8m x 4m private pool there is a 30m2 sunbathing area with sun loungers & parasols, allowing you to enjoy the sun all day.
Along with the wood burner situated in the living room, Casa Escondida also benefits from central heating ( if required in winter months ), Air Conditioning units in all bedrooms and insect netting to all windows ( which allows the windows to be left open for pleasant evening ventilation ).
There is also extensive secure off road parking with shaded car port which is for ideal for numerous cars, or boat if required.
Two tennis centres with equipment for hire are within a 10 minute walk.
The gently sloping, soft sand of the Arenal beach is equipped with all necessary facilities and is only a 5 minute drive by car.
Granadella beach, which has been voted one of the best in Spain, is only a 20 minute walk from Casa Escondida.
There is also a free bus service from the bottom of the road to Granadella in high season.
TIP: Go early & come back to the peace & quiet of the villa after lunch.
We provide a socially distanced meet & greet service on arrival to ensure that your holiday gets off to the best possible start. If you have a late arrival, keys may be left in a key safe & our housekeeper will visit the next day to ensure that all is ok.
We also provide a welcome pack which includes milk, water & bread etc so you can get that essential cup of tea.
We only ask that you replace any items, tea, coffee etc that you use from the storage jars so that those that follow have sufficient.

TOP TIP:
If in summer flights to Alicante / Valencia look to be expensive, try flying to Madrid & spend a couple of days visiting places on the way to Javea.
Flights to Madrid can often be cheaper but you have a longer drive so break your journey by calling in at:
Toledo: a world heritage site S of Madrid.
Cuenca: wonderful town SE of Madrid with houses 'hanging' from the cliffs.
And don't forget Madrid or Valencia.
LOCAL AREA:
Costa Nova is a peaceful residential area approx 5 mins drive from the Arenal beach area & the renowned Granadella beach.
There is a good mini supermarket up the road ( approx 300 yds ) underneath the Azahar restaurant.
In our opinion the Azahar is one of the better restaurants in Javea with indoor & outdoor dining & a good & varied menu. It also has live music on occasions.
Other good local restaurants include Everest Spice, Casa de la Pizza, Mirador, Los Amigos & El Trovador ( which, when the need arises, has great bacon sandwiches )
There are also two tennis / boule clubs within 10 mins walk & various walks & cycle routes through Granadella forest area.
Javea is wonderful holiday destination with three distinct areas which offer something for everyone.
1. Javea old town is a beautiful traditional Spanish market town with narrow cobbled streets & some great tapas bars & restaurants. There is also a weekly market, which should not be missed.
2. Javea port is a hub of activity with a very clean pebble beach & some great value restaurants on the promenade overlooking the sea.
There are often concerts in the streets & plazas within the port & it also has a cinema which shows English language films 3 times a week.
3. The Arenal is the main beach area with a soft sand beach falling gently to the sea, ideal for children. Shops, bars & restaurants in the Arenal area cater for all tastes.
GETTING AROUND:
A car is recommended / necessary.
There is a bus service linking the Arenal, Port & the Old town but it is also a pleasant, easy walk between them all.
Try using the ferry boat service to Denia ( from the port ). Its a lovely day excursion, particularly with lunch in Denia.
Or combine it with a visit to Denia market.
The Thursday market in Javea old town is worth visting as is the Saturday flea market in Jalon. Both start early...9.30 ish.
