Description
Introducing SULDA BRILL by Jules
"Approaching Sulda Brill, with its fresh Mediterranean white painted wooden doors and windows, we arrive in a large reception. It is the living space of the farmhouse with lovely views of a picturesque garden and tranquil pool terrace beyond. This adds a spacious cottage garden feel - quite quirky.
Just before the terrace doors, your eyes are drawn to a large state of the art Pellet stove – a contemporary feature that adds a chic feel. This stove will be a belter in the winter months and combined with central heating make an ideal winter holiday retreat.
The farmhouse has been restored with keen attention to detail. It effortlessly combines a top-end contemporary finish with local limestone to create the traditional farmhouse feel in its archways. The finish is seamless and eclectic.
The kitchen is bright and state of the art with a terrace door that also opens out to the patio, adding ambiance.
No question, Sulda Brill is the full package. Ideally located on the road to Ramla beach and within walking distance to local restaurants and shops in Nadur. A superb combination of traditional Gozo farmhouse with a contemporary twist. Another home just added to our list of Gozo Villas to “road test”. A growing list but this is a very worthy contender”. Location; Village of Nadur
Nadur is Gozo's second largest village spread out over the top of a plateau. Nadur “nadir” means to “keep guard” and much of the island and beyond can be seen from the village. Nadur has a huge church dedicated to apostles Saints Peter and Paul with the foundation stone laid as far back as 1760. The church is entirely covered in marble. Paintings on the dome and ceiling by Lazzaro Pisami recreate images from the life of Peter and Paul. The church is believed to be Gozo’s best baroque architectural masterpiece. It also owns the Gozo Maritime Museum off the village square.
The feast of Nadur – Mnarja – is celebrated on 29th June every year. A carnival atmosphere buzzes with colorful illuminations fireworks music band processions and dancing. Nadur is also the fruit growing district of the island. It plays host to the annual Delicata Wine Festival. Nearby is Gozo's largest sandy bay Ir-Ramla and the small coves of Dahlet Qorrot and San Blas - perfect for snorkeling.
