"Tucked away on the beautiful valley leading down to Ghajn Barrani in Xaghra, this holiday home enjoys idyllic views over the valley and countryside.
I have an overwhelming feeling of “escapism” here as terrace doors open onto an oasis of colour. A pool terrace with so much space and so many palm trees! I count and there must be up to 20 proudly hugging the terrace. What privacy and serenity. A heavenly retreat. Makes me feel I’ve drifted off to my own secluded island - Mediterranean bliss!
The charm and escapism continue throughout Bezitt. A holiday farmhouse of
outstanding local character and beauty. Entering through the front door, I feel immediately enraptured by local stone walls and arches. Complemented by wooden ceiling beams. A modern kitchen joins a large open-plan dining area with a table that seats up to 10 people. Light beams through double terrace doors at the bottom leading to the pool.
Another stone arch leads me into the lounge. Again, grand in size, with light from another set of terrace doors and views of the oasis outside.
Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor. There is also a family bathroom here, whilst one bedroom is ensuite.
The master bedroom is on the first floor. Wow - what a “master”. Low stone ceiling arches throughout give this very spacious bedroom a palatial feeling. A small, almost secret door leads onto a very large terrace that has country and distant sea views. I could spend hours here.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Ground Floor:
The farmhouse is spacious and a reflection of the character outside.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and serves a long dining table. The dining area stretches to pool terrace doors and is large enough for 2 long day beds where you can relax.
A lovely stone archway takes you to into the lounge with a comfortable settee, T.V with cable, feature fireplace and terrace doors opening onto the pool terrace. This reflects light and views from the oasis outside.
A separate WC is on the ground floor and serves the living space.
First floor:
Up the traditional stone staircase, you arrive on the first floor. Here you find the large Master bedroom. Full of character from the stone arches in the ceiling. It has a large reception area and ensuite bathroom. A small door leads onto a spacious terrace with countryside and distant sea views.
The farmhouse has air conditioning on a pay as you use basis. There are units in each of the bedrooms and the lounge.
Outdoors:
A large pool terrace surrounded by palm trees provides privacy and an idyllic setting. The pool size 4 metres X 6.7 metres.
There is plenty of your “own” space to find here for sunbathing, relaxing on sunbeds, swimming, enjoying a long lunch or BBQ on dining furniture.
Alternatively, take advantage of the feature stone table and benches – these don’t move in the wind!
XAGHRA VILLAGE
If you can tear yourself away from Bezitt's outdoor space the majority of bars, cafe's, shops and restaurants are found in Xaghra village square. Here you will find a lively atmosphere and mix of eateries. The square is 2km and approximately a 20-minute walk.
Ix-Xwejni Bay and Qbajjar Bay are both just a few minutes away too and are great places for swimming, fishing, boating and diving. Calypso Cave is a short walk.
The nearest beach is Gozo's largest sandy beach, Ramla Bay. It is 1.3 km (a tough walk!).
The closest supermarket is J & M Supermarket (Marsalforn Road) on the way to Xaghra, 850 m or a 10-minute walk.
Xaghra is also home to an incredible history. The Ggantija Temples, the oldest standing structures in the world, are an essential visit. You can find more about them on our Archaeology & Temples in Gozo pages.
