"Is any Gozo holiday accommodation more appropriately named? Dream Hamlet is (sort of) 2 Gozo holiday homes rolled into one which makes it perfect for large family get-togethers. Scale is the first thing that hits you about this place. There are 3(!) pools. One is an indoor splash pool with Jacuzzi; the other two are outdoors so if one pool is getting a bit raucous you can decamp to the other and splash around in peace. Vast vaulted ceilings that span the dining area and living space. Even the individual sandstone blocks that form every column wall and arch are massive.

The year-round appeal is the other thing I love about Dream Hamlet. Visit in summer and chances are you’ll only leave the pool terrace for the occasional break from the sun. From BBQ to dining table to distant ocean views almost everything you could possibly want for a relaxing day is here.

Yet when winter adds a slight nip to the air you’ll find the log fire underfloor heating and Jacuzzi make Dream Hamlet a wonderful retreat.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

You’d expect the living space to be generously proportioned in a Gozo holiday villa built for 14 but even so Dream Hamlet is holiday accommodation on a grand scale. The open plan living area features a well-equipped kitchen a dining area with two tables so the entire household can sit down for dinner together and a lounge.

A flat screen TV with cable DVD player wireless internet and a games console provide plenty of winter distractions – and are welcome summer escapes if the sun gets a bit much.

A glass wall separates the living area from the Jacuzzi splash pool while beyond large windows let lots of natural light into the living area.

There is an additional WC on the ground floor.

Terrace doors lead to an extended patio with barbeque dining tables and chairs.

Two generously-sized pools are the focal point of the terrace but we think you’ll find it hard to tear your eyes away from the magnificent countryside beyond the villa wall and the glorious sunsets. Each bedroom is wonderfully welcoming so you may find yourself choosing rooms based on the views from their patio doors balconies and terraces!

All of Dream Hamlet’s spacious 7 bedrooms are en-suite and are split between the ground and first floors. 3 rooms house double beds the remainder have twin beds but you can have these arranged as doubles if you prefer.
Ghasri

LOCATION: Ghasri Village

If you take the Victoria-Gharb road to the Aqueduct and fork right you will find the smallest village on the island nestled between the hills of iz-Zebbug and Ghammar.

The village of Ghasri sits amongst the fields and valleys of rural Gozo near to Victoria’s commanding Citadel and close to one of the best swimming spots on the island. Worthy of a stop is Tal Gordan a flat topped hill with an iconic lighthouse. At 180 metres above sea level the Lighthouse towers over the village and stands proudly on top of Gurdan Hill. Inaugurated in 1853 the Lighthouse’ beam could be seen as far as 50 kilometres away so affords a fantastic 360 degree view when you get there. It’s a must for ramblers.

The nearest supermarket is 800 metres away with the many shops located in Victoria, 3 KM from the farmhouse. You will find a number of restaurants and bars in 900 metres.
