Severn of us stayed here for a week in sept. The house is in a fabulous location with wonderful views. On arrival my first impressions were that the outside space is smaller than it appears in the photos, but it was actually plenty big enough for us all. The house is tastefully furnished with good quality linens etc . The walk through the pines into Fisksfo is pleasant, although quite uneven in parts and takes approx 10 mins. To walk into Fiskado along the rd is only 15/20 mins. We used Vangelis cabs who were excellent, speak English and the fare only €5. The little beach 5 mins away was wonderful. Catherine the manager was super helpful in all respects - from the booking to leaving. Thanks Catherine. A fabulous house for a large party to enjoy the beautiful Fiskado
A hit, in every respect. The booking arrangements were finessed with great style by Catherine Marmet, and we arrived on time to find the villa spotlessly clean and cool. To general delight it was discovered that the wifi actually worked- which was secretly unanticipated- and this proved greatly conducive to family harmony. Walter the owner came over and introduced himself, and he and his wife are charming. Maid and handyman are discreet presences about the place, and both highly efficient. The villa is on the ‘right’ - ie: the less congested- side of Fiskardo, and one really can walk to the harbour in a few minutes. There is an extremely pretty (almost private) cove just down the hill. The view from the terrace is sublime. With Catherine’s help we arranged a trip to Ithaca through Private Yachting. An arm and a leg are required for this, but it is very highly recommended. A lovely day on the water with Konstantinos and Miona. Casa di Gio really is splendid. Later this week I shall be robbing a bank to prepare for our return next year! Guy Andrews
The villa is spacious and comfortable and filled with quirky and interesting pieces of art. One of its main plus points is that there is a small cove nearby for swimming and another is that it is easy to walk into Fiskardo. It is worth noting the proximity of the villa next door.
