A TUSCAN GEM!

By Suzanne Forget on 18-Oct-2024

Paul and Heather’s Tuscan farmhouse is truly idyllic. When we booked their farmhouse for a month, we were looking for a villa: located near Cortona; large enough to accommodate 3 couples comfortably; and with lovely outdoor spaces to relax after a day of exploring the region. Their villa exceeded our expectations. The villa is absolutely gorgeous and very well appointed and decorated. All three bedrooms had very comfortable beds and lots of storage spaces; the two bathrooms were modern with great showers; the living room had comfortable furniture; and the kitchen equipped with everything needed for gourmet cooking. The house was clean and we were supplied with all the necessities to make our stay truly enjoyable. In addition, the bedding and towels were changed once a week. The outdoor spaces were outstanding. We enjoyed cocktails around the pool before dinner; cooking on the stone BBQ; dinning and lounging in the outdoor dining/living area; and spending many hours cooling down in the pool. Just a beautiful quiet garden setting. In addition, laundry facilities were on the premises. The information guide provided by Paul and Heather was outstanding. We used their guide on a daily basis to plan our activities. Minor issues were rapidly resolved and I must admit that communication with Paul and his local service providers was the best we’ve had. Everyone was very hospitable and gracious. We highly recommend this property. Thank you Paul and Heather for making our stay with our friends truly magical.

Excellent

We recently spent two weeks in this property and would recommend it highly both as a comfortable and well-equipped home from home and as an excellent base for exploring this beautiful region of Italy. The owner Paul provided first class information and assistance when required - the guide to local places of interest, restaurants and other practical information was particularly helpful. Took (early morning) trips to Castiglione del Lago, Montepulciano, Siena, San Gimingnano and Florence, with a very welcome cooling dip in the pool at the end of each day. The villa is on the doorstep of Cortona - a pleasure to spend a few evenings there enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and lovely food. Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking of booking this property, you won’t be disappointed.
