This villa in Vale de Milho was very spacious even more so than in the photos. This was a great place for a quiet and relaxing place to stay. Highly recommended. The location was great with a beach in walking distance and Carvoeiro also not far. This offered great options for food, shops and bars. A beautiful place and the support and help from initial booking to arriving home was superb. Thank you

I booked Casa das Oliverias for a week in July for the family and I. Would thoroughly recommend. Such a beautiful traditional large villa set in beautiful grounds with a larger than average pool . Everything you could ask for, a real home from home with a Well equipped kitchen etc and excellent Communication with the owner Peter throughout. Fabulous location too.

We stayed at Casa Das Oliveiras in the first two weeks of August 2023. The villa was even nicer than the photos! It is really spacious and the master suite is upstairs away from the other 2 bedrooms, so we felt we were able to have some privacy from our tween age children. The villa was well provisioned with every convenience we needed and very clean. Although located in a neighbourhood with lots of other villas, they were all detached with large gardens so you don't feel that anyone else is on top of you/overlooking you and we heard very little from neighbours during our stay, which was great as we enjoy peace and tranquillity. The driveway is gated but we didn't feel unsafe at any time in the area. There is a restaurant in walking distance (we didn't try it) and you can walk to the nearest beach, but we didn't attempt to walk into the main Carvoeiro town as it didn't feel a safe enough walking route with children, and was quite a distance. I'd recommend hiring a car if you stay here. We didn't and regretted it as it would have made trips out much easier. We relied on local taxis, which on the whole were reliable and there were plenty of 7 seaters which we needed as a family of 5, but some evenings we had up to an hour's wait for one and the firm we used didn't accept advance bookings, so in hindsight a hire car would have made life easier. I walked to the big hypermarche a few times and then got a taxi back with the shopping, and we took a taxi to the nearby waterpark, which was a great day out, so it is doable without a car if needed. Back to the villa, the pool is amazing!! We spent loads of time at the villa, enjoying the pool and the sun. The pool terrace is amazing too and has a fantastic barbecue area. The only slight drawback was that the sun shone on the barbecue in the afternoon and cooking became extremely hot! If you like a lunchtime barbecue then it would have been more shady and a lot more bearable - we just like to eat in the evenings! But it is close to the pool so we could stand with our feet in the pool to cool off in between turning the food! We bought some amazing fish locally to barbecue, and was a big highlight of our holiday. The air con in the villa was very effective, it's only in the bedrooms, but we found we only needed it where we were sleeping. Showers were great and the wifi was adequate, though not so strong in the bedrooms (so the kids told us). The housekeeping was great and the lovely woman who popped in (sorry I've forgotten her name as am writing this review a few months late!) was very sensitive to our needs and we hardly knew she was there. We enjoyed a lot of stargazing in the evenings, lying on the sun beds looking up at the sky, and saw loads of shooting stars and quite incredibly a satellite train which was the most incredible sight! We were not quite as struck with Carvoeiro as we had hoped we would be, but cannot fault the villa at all, and if we were to return to the Algarve we would want to stay here again. It definitely ranks as the best villa we have stayed in to date. We dealt with Peter for the booking and he was so knowledgeable and helpful, we felt really reassured booking through him and he helped us with advice as to where to visit and firms to book taxis etc. You will not be disappointed staying here!

This villa is amazing its name says it all ! Oliver's Castle and it is a castle. We arrived at night and didn't fully appreciate how big the plot was. The villa is surrounded by a huge private garden but the pool is even better probably the biggest pool villa we have been fortunate to use with lots of space to sunbathe around. The living area has comfortable chairs and a dining table although we ate out a lot the kitchen was very well equipped with every cooking implement you'd ever need. The bedrooms are very spacious all en-suite. We were a party of 5 with 3 teenage children so plenty of room to spread out! Peter Evans was very helpful organising taxi transfers to and from the airport which were very punctual with polite drivers. We hope to return in the near future to Casa De Oliveiras!

A really lovely villa with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Clean and very well equipped. Great communication from Peter beforehand. Beautiful views from the terraces. Hope to be able to go back one day!
