Description
Cabanas has everything needed for a relaxing holiday in one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of the Algarve.Our modern, spacious, apartment on a small, high-quality development has sea views, comfortable and stylish furniture and all mod cons. Being on 2 levels, the apartment has plenty of outside space. The furnished balcony on the first floor looks out to sea and is ideal for outdoor meals. A charcoal barbecue is provided. The upper terrace has sea views and is equipped with breakfast table, sun loungers and a drying rack.
The kitchen is fully equipped for family meals. The HD TV has Netflix and a DVD player. Rental includes all linens and bathroom towels for 4 people, as well as final cleaning at the end of your stay.

The seafront and village beach are only a few steps away and a 3 minute ride on the tiny ferry takes you to the fabulous island beach, part of the Rio Formosa nature reserve with miles of golden sand. Once there, you can either hire a lounger and parasol or do your own thing. There are showers, toilets and a cafe. The closest beach is right in front of our development and is overhung by cliffs as you walk away from the village.
Village restaurants are informal and friendly, serving freshly caught fish and other local dishes at very reasonable prices. A short stroll along the boardwalk brings you to the nearest supermarket and a variety of other shops and waterfront cafes.
As well as a little market selling fresh fish and vegetables, Cabanas has several small supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, and ATMs/cashpoints. You'll find plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars, but no nightclubs or discos.
Cabanas is on the Rio Formosa, a narrow lagoon between the coast and the Ilha de Cabanas, a long and uninhabited sandbar which forms the magnificent sandy beach. Boat trips from Cabanas include fishing, birdwatching and general tours of the lagoon.
A few minutes by car or bus takes you to the picturesque town of Tavira. Seven excellent golf courses are within 30 mins drive. Cabanas is approximately midway between Faro and the border with Spain.
Faro airport is 35 minutes drive from Cabanas. You can also fly to Seville, 90 minutes away. Car hire is not essential, as Cabanas is self-contained as a resort. You can get a taxi or (pre-booked) shuttle from Faro airport or we can arrange private transfers. There is a bus service into Tavira (10 minutes away) and (slow) trains run along the Algarve stopping at Conceicao, a 15 minute walk from the apartment. There are also water taxis! If you want to explore further afield or play golf, we recommend hiring a car.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful setting
By Heather Potter on 12-Sep-2024The apartment had everything we could wish for. Lots of kitchen equipment and comfy beds. Lots of nice touches. Our point of contact was excellent. We had a fabulous time. Cabanas is ultra laid back with beautiful views from the boardwalk. Many cafes, bars and restaurants all in close proximity and the Spar supermarket was a 5min walk.

Perfect apartment- fantastic location

The small ferry to the beach is literally minutes away along with excellent restaurants, bars and mini market. We return again and again as it is everything we seek for a relaxed holiday in the best location in Cabanas. The owners have been simply excellent to deal with.
