We had a fantastic week at Casa Priscarosa, again - the villa is so well equipped and homely. It's also in a great position just a few minuets walk to the beach and village. Also, Celia is lovely and very helpful and she keeps the place spotless at all times.
This villa is a gem. Built on an undeveloped hill behind the village, it has a stunning view of the sea. The terrace is a lovely place to read, dine, drink, and chat. Decor is homely and characterful, if a little dated in place. But you can tell a family has lovingly cherished it for years, with paintings of Salema before the other hill was developed. Celia, the house-keeper, is helpful and cheerful - she cooked us our first night's stew. Pool is great too - behind the house and sheltered. What with an easy walk to beach and the village below, in my view it's the best villa in Salema.
The villa was spacious and spotlessly clean. Great views from all rooms and great outside space. Lovely not to be overlooked or too close to other villas. The pool was a really good size and loved by our teenage children! So good to be able to walk into Salema from the villa and enjoy the beach and places to eat and drink. And also ideal for exploring the rest of the Algarve. Easy to get to other nearby beautiful beaches too (5 min drive). Kitchen was well stocked and easy to use the BBQ too. Loved sitting outside on the sofas enjoying the morning sunshine! Would definitely recommend it!

Than you so much for your 5 star review. If we had a system to give stars to visitors Célia would give you 5 stars as well. You were friendly, considerate and tidy guests. So thank you and hope you will return another year.
We have just returned from a wonderful 10 days at Casa Priscarosa. The villa is quite exceptional - 4 excellent sized double bedrooms each with their own bathroom and access onto the numerous patio areas; an extremely well equipped kitchen; a beautiful pool, and wonderful views down to the sea. They even provided fans and plug in mosquito repellents for each bedroom - everything had been thought of to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Celia comes in to clean 3 times a week and is so friendly and helpful. Salema is a quick and easy walk down down the hill and has all you could want for a holiday - a choice of half a dozen great Portuguese restaurants plus sushi, pizza and curry, various cafes, 2 cocktail bars, 2 small supermarkets, a deli and a small pharmacy. The beach is beautiful with soft sand and inviting, clear blue sea. We would come back again in a heartbeat! The only thing I would say is that the house is in 2 parts: all connected in the day when patio doors and back door are open, but at night if the house is all locked up then the house is in 2 sections - the kitchen and main living area and 2 of the bedrooms in one section and then the other two bedrooms in the other. So if you are travelling with smaller children this configuration may be something you'll need to consider. It was ideal for us as all adults and would be perfect for two families travelling together.

Thank you so much for your time to make this review. It is most helpful. We are delighted you had such a great stay and hope you will be back another year.
Casa Priscarosa lived up to our expectations-it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy this stunning part of Portugal. The views were exceptional and the outside eating and seating areas meant we could enjoy them wherever we sat. The swimming pool was lovely, with plenty of sun loungers for relaxing beside it. The villa had everything we needed; we particularly loved the beautiful Porches pottery throughout, along with the pretty paintings- it felt like home from home. The villa is just a short walk from the beach and village, but is also in a secluded and very unspoilt spot away from the crowds. Celia looked after us beautifully.

Thank you so much for your fantastic review. So kind of you to take so much time and trouble. We do appreciate it and hope you will be back another year.
We had a wonderful break in Salema! Casa Priscarosa was a great find, only a short walk to the beach & restaurants. The house was well kitted out, with a welcoming pool & table tennis. It was also such a treat to have Celia daily to look after us & the house so brilliantly - what a gem! We would definitely recommend a car to venture to Lagos, supermarket & other areas near Salema.
