The owner was very helpful responding promptly to any questions she also sent the most comprehensive directions to the apartment, there is also a very detailed information book in the apartment with restaurant recommendations, also supermarkets/markets, and much more. The apartment is well presented and spotlessly clean we had quality bedding and 'white' fluffy towels - not always our experience with holiday rentals. The owner had thought of everything with a well-equipped and a barbecue on the very spacious terrace where you get all day sun. There are supermarkets all very close by (5-10 mins by car) and the Vale Do Lobo beach is about 10 minutes by car it is a clean and safe with good beach bars we enjoyed Julias beach bar. We love to go to the Saturday Loule market an Arabic-inspired market building about 20 mins away selling local produce and handicrafts. The market is surrounded by busy shopping streets and a warren of medieval alleys and beautiful traditional houses. There is a lovely fish restaurant at the edge of the market called Pescador for lunch. In the evening we used the readily available uber taxi's to go to one of the many restaurants close by. Our favourites were an Italian called Casa Vostre in Almancil (opp Aldi) we also enjoyed Portuguese Cataplana (slow-cooked fish stew) in Quateria at O Jacinto and La Cabane (they also offer meat cataplana dishes). All in all a wonderful holiday thank you can't wait to be back.
The apartment is really well located with shops and restaurants within walking distance. We didn't hire bother to a car as in peak season it was cheaper to use uber to get around but there was onsite parking. The apartment is very spacious inside with a well equipped kitchen. I didn't expect such a large terrace so that was a pleasant surprise as there was plenty of room for everyone - including a shaded area. The block is small so it felt very private and had a nice view across the finca behind the property.
