First big family holiday we've done for a long time with our adult children and the grandchildren. We were looking for somewhere we wouldn't have to be endlessly driving and this certainly fitted the bill as two supermarkets and the Old Town are within easy walking distance. The bedroom accommodation was perfect for our group and the number of bathrooms meant there were no arguments about people having to wait. The toilet down by the pool and the cloakroom with shower on the first floor (near the kitchen) were also extremely useful. The large pool got plenty of use and we also loved the outdoor barbecue area. Because both Lidl and Aldi are so close by we could make spur of the moment decisions about whether to eat in or go out depending on how tired the toddlers were. Albufeira Old Town is still a lovely, lively place but with the pushchairs I don't think we ever managed to do it in 5 minutes but 10-15 mins was fine. The older members of the party also occasionally opted for a taxi on the return journey as it's all uphill! Because of the age profile of our group we didn't use the games room much but if you're travelling with teenagers it would probably be a great attraction. Carlos and his parents are lovely, friendly people and the few minor issues we encountered (small things like lightbulbs blowing) were quickly and happily resolved. We would definitely go back again.
We stayed for a week at the end of August and we couldn't have picked better. Two families with grown-up children and a 2-year-old. The villa was so well equipped with everything you could think of from loads of glasses, plastic glasses, mugs, plates, bowls - two huge fridges - and one on pool level too so easy access during the day. This villa would easily accommodate 12 people without you feeling like you're on top of each other - the bedrooms are all big, with loads of storage space. The pool is a decent size with a children's area too. Also a WC on this level to avoid making the villa floors slippy when wet. Great outdoor area, which offered plenty of shade and a superb BBQ - big enough for everyone. There's a built-in stair gate from the villa on the steps down to the pool which was great for us to keep the little one safe. The villa is about 5 minutes walk to Aldi and Lidl and around 10-15 minutes into town (turn right at Lidl Island and left at the next island!) - perfect location as it's quiet at night - but easily walkable into the old town. Everything was so well maintained and clean on our arrival and we we're able to keep the villa on for our last day as we had a late flight. Carlos' communication beforehand was superb and I would recommend this villa to anyone looking to book for a large group.
This was our 2nd time. And already booked for next year. This place is fantastic The best we have stayed at. Carlos is so friendly and always introduces himself. I can’t really give enough praise for this villa you’ll just have to try it out to see Many thanks to Carlos for all you did for us. See you next year
The villa is perfectly situated for supermarkets, stroll to the old town night life. Villa well equipped, private and plenty of space for our party who were 7 to 86 years and ten people. Fantastic communication with the owner, even after us leaving something behind. He sent after us being in touch. Would highly recommend, would love to return.
we had booked to stay here for 2020 but due to COVID we had to cancel several times but the owner Carlos said no problem and that when ever we want to book it would be still open to us, location was great 2 mins to Lidl, 10 mins to town walk or 2 mins drive, everything was in the villa, even the play room in basement was great, pool was great and especially the kids pool for the young ones, BBQ was fantastic and the out door dinning area was Hugh, sun loungers around pool were great and plenty of them too, inside had everything , we had a few issues with the power tripping but all sorted very quick by Carlos. yes we will be back but next time maybe pool be a bit warmer, thanks,
Just back from a brilliant week in Portugal. The Villa had everything we required for a group of nine plus brilliant location and safe area. From the time of the booking to our departure everything ran like clockwork. The owner Carlos was always on hand for any questions prior to our arrival and during our stay. We were a group of friends visiting Portugal for a celebration and Villa Bastios ticked all the boxes the pool and bbq area were excellent and it was an ideal location. Supermarket was only 2 minute walk away. We spent most of our evenings in the Old Town which was about a 10-15 minute walk but taxis are easily accessible and only cost about 4 euros. ! Highly recommend!! Thanks for a great week
