We stayed for 2 weeks in August. The chalet was very homely, with great use of space and most impressive mountain views! We absolutely loved our stay, and made full use of the lovely swimming pool , the games (Balderdash was a hit!) , and kitchen, we love cooking….There were 5 of us staying and we found it very private place to stay. We enjoyed the Sonos music system too! St Gervais is a short easy walk, with pavements all the way. A very pretty town with plenty of places to eat . The market on a Thursday is worth a visit, lots of regional produce - the saucisson we bought was great value and so tasty. A couple of great Boulangeries, for a daily baguette. Lots to do locally for all ages, we enjoyed the train up to the top of the mountain, stunning views. Overall, we found the chalet such an easy, comfortable stay , with an amazing pool, wonderfully equipped kitchen and in a beautiful location.
Return trip to the chalet in summer and still good. Excellent location with plenty to do and see locally, kitchen well equipped and ample space for 8 adults. Pool was a real bonus as the weather was hot while we were there. Good communication from the owners and prompt return of the security deposit. Overall highly recommended
A wonderful chalet ideally situated within St Gervais. Very well equipped with everything you might need. We were a family of 6 and it provided an excellent base for our walking holiday and the pool was very much appreciated! We would all be very keen to return. Communication with the owner was outstanding.
We had a fantastic time in the Chalet. It was just as we hoped if not even better. It worked for myself, my childrèn and my elderly parents. The entertainment space and sauna were fantastic and there was so much space for hanging and drying ski gear. We lost a days ski to high wind and if we did not have such a perfect chalet I think it would have bothered us a lot more than it did. I highly recommend the chalet and it is perfectly located for the town and shops.
We were so lucky to find Chalet Wilks & hosts Melanie and Chris. They provided a stunning chalet minutes walk from the centre of the village, gondola upto Bettex, the Mont Blanc tram to Bellevue and numerous beautiful walks within the area. Not to be forgotten, bus stop 5 seconds from the driveway entrance, fabulous free bus service around the area. Location and views stunning. The chalet was so comfortable, homely, warm with excellent cooking facilities and great balcony to take in the awesome valley and mountain views. Brilliant, spacious sauna & movie room. A toilet facility on each of the 4 floors. Fantastic garage area to provide laundry and excellent storage facilities for ski gear etc.
We spent an amazing week at the chalet which is in a fantastic location. Saint Gervais Les Bains is a gem in the alps and has everything you need from bars to restaurants to shops. A great place to spend time with extended family due to the abundance of space. The pool was great and there are phenomenal views across the mountains. Communication with the owner and local contact was excellent throughout. Overall we had a very relaxing stay and hope to be back in the future.
