A Little Bit About Châtel

Chatel is ideally situated for both summer and winter holidays as it is only 1½ hours from Geneva or an 8 hour drive from Calais.
It is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area – 650km of piste. This area has 14 resorts including Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets, Champery, Morgin and Champoussin. This makes for varied skiing and wonderful mountain restaurants!
In the summer the area is very picturesque. Activities include walking, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis and hot spring swimming. Some of the chair lifts are open to help you get to the higher pastures. For the more adventurous there is also the Fantasticable – a zip wire between mountains!
