Lovely relaxing stay at the Stone House in Ilgaz. Beautiful villa with everything you could possibly need and very generous welcome pack on arrival. Lovely pool, great views down to the sea and totally private outdoor terrace area.. Carola & Oz we’re perfect hosts, so friendly and on hand if we needed anything. Would recommend Hoots and Trattoria Vineyard for evening meals. The bakery/cafe opposite Stone House does a great Turkish breakfast, as does Soora Garden restaurant, a short drive down from Ilgaz. We had such a great time we booked again for next year,

This is the 3rd property we have rented from the owners - they have all been wonderful. The Stone House was clean & comfortable, with private parking, and a lovely, secluded private pool (just to note, there is no shallow end if visiting with young children). The village of Ilgaz has a lovely restaurant (Hoots), a great Turkish breakfast venue & the wonderful Gillham Vineyard (with a bar, restaurant, wine tours & spa treatments) all within a short walking distance, and there are numerous restaurants, bars and beaches a short drive away. The owners are lovely 😊 They helped to organise the taxi from Larnaca and the car hire ( the hire car was waiting when we got to the villa). We would definitely recommend visiting Ilgaz & staying in one of Oz & Carola's wonderful properties.

We had an amazing two weeks at this gorgeous property. It is well maintained, well laid out and in a stunning location. Our hosts Carolla and Oz are truly great hosts. We have been staying at their properties for about nine years now. We have always found the experience joyful. We are counting down the time to our next trip there.

This villa really is beautiful, it has been restored to keep many of the original features and is of a very high standard. The photos do not show just how lovely the villa is. When my family and I first walked into the villa we were blown away with the views. The villa contains everything that you need for a self catering stay, with a very generous welcome basket included. It was impeccably clean and is very quiet. The cafe across the road serves an excellent breakfast and is very popular with the locals, but due to the way the villa is situated you do not hear anything even when they are very busy. Our hosts were excellent with their communication and very kind. We hope to stay at The Stone House again in the future.

Couldn't fault this beautifully renovated traditional stone house, with its modern amenities yet keeping with tradition. Deceptively spacious with a very private pool area with magnificent views. Although the local Bakery/cafe is across the road it was surprisingly quiet and not overlooked. Very friendly cafe owners so much so, they allowed us to purchase some beers when they weren't open to save us from heading down to the shop. As for Oz and Carola, nothing was too much trouble and just such a warm and friendly couple. Can't wait to return!!!

Having previously owned a villa quite near for 20 years and spending 5-6 months a year in North Cyprus, we visited friends who stayed here last year and was attracted by the unique eclectic well designed conversion of a tradition village stone house offering splendid facilities and was very pleased to rent it this year for a month. It achieved all we wanted ,peace and quiet and close to 4 good restaurants and the vineyard and the very green mountains above for walks and meeting old friends. The owners were very friendly and ensured we had all we needed. The views down the valley to the sea are spectacular, away from the busy coastal road. The pool is superb and warm enough in April-May for swimming and very private. The stone house will not disappoint and we hope to return in the autumn.
