Description
Sandown is a spacious & comfortable upside down home with 4 ground floor bedrooms all with their own shower room en-suite and TV. The house sleeps 7 people (plus an infant in travel cot). There is a large comfortable and modern living space with a fully equipped kitchen and utility room on the 1st floor.The huge comfortable lounge has lots of seating, a wall mounted Smart TV and many board games, cards, books, toys and lots of useful leaflets offering information about all the wonderful things to do and places to visit within the surrounding area.
On the same floor as the lounge is a beautiful dining room which comfortably seats a large family group plus a highchair for the little ones.
The house sleeps 7 people plus 1 infant (by request) . The bedroom arrangement is 4 ground floor bedrooms comprising of 3 x double guestrooms with en-suite shower rooms and a lovely single guestroom, also with an en-suite shower room. There is a travel cot available, you will just need to bring your own bedding.
The well equipped kitchen with utility/cloak/wash room has everything you will need to cook enjoyable family meals, including a double oven, hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer and separate fridge, bread maker, mixer, lots of pots and pans and of course a washing machine and dishwasher.
There is ample parking for 4 cars and a separate patio area with table, chairs and a BBQ.
We welcome a well behaved dog (no other pet are accepted) but ask they are not left in the house unattended, although we are happy for you to bring a pet crate to use. We do not charge for 1 dog. On occasion we may accept a 2nd dog by permission, there would be additional £40 cleaning fee.
There is a £150 good housekeeping bond applied to invoices which is returnable within 2 days of departure.

By Wendy on 29-Dec-2024Spacious enough for 6 adults, a two year old and our Yorkshire terrier! The bedrooms were lovely and all extremely comfortable. Georgia had decorated the living room for Christmas and it was brilliant that there were 2 fridges! It is perfectly situated to walk into beautiful Bowness and Windermere. The whole week was absolutely magical and I would recommend a stay at Sandown to anyone!

Restaurants and cafes are all within walking distance which made our choice of 'going out' a pleasure. The help and communication offered by the owner was of the highest standard. Everything was in place for our arrival and any questions we had during our stay were answered promptly. We all had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property in Bowness-on-Windermere to anyone visiting the Lakes.

By Neil on 16-Aug-2024Great location, very short walk down the hill into Bowness or a short walk up the hill to Windemere, There is a bus stop right outside of the house which was ideal for hopping onto the open top buses ! Lots of space for parking at the property , we had three cars with us as we were a party of seven adults and a dog. There is a small park across the road which was perfect to walk the dog first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The welcome goodies were very much appreciated !!

The communication with the owner Georgie who couldn't be more helpful was a massive bonus also. We have stayed in countless property’s in bowness and sandown is by far one of the best
