The nearby Buddle Inn has splendid views overlooking the sea and opposite are steps leading to Castle Cove with its history of smugglers and ghosts. For those with children, Blackgang Chine Theme Park is well worth a visit. The Victorian resort town of Ventnor is a short drive away with its crescent shaped beach and variety of cafes and restaurants.
