Excellent Location - Accessible, modern, luxury barn conversion with spectacular views over the North York Moors

Property details:
Chestnut Barn is a Grade II Listed stone barn conversion in the attractive village of Aislaby. Situated in the North York Moors, 3 miles from the picturesque coastal town of Whitby. The barn is an excellent base for a sandy beach holiday or for coastal and countryside walks. It is a peaceful haven if you are looking for somewhere to relax or spend time with family and friends, enjoying a barbecue or taking in the stunning views. Located in an idyllic, tranquil setting, the cottage is surrounded by abundant wildlife. Spectacular views of the open countryside and the North York Moors are visible from the property.

The cottage has been converted to a very high standard and is suitable for all guests, including groups of families or friends and people with limited mobility. Beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and oak doors add lots of character. The living, kitchen and dining areas have Yorkshire stone flagged floors with underfloor heating, making it cosy underfoot.

Across the landing is the mezzanine bedroom which has a king size bed. Downstairs, there is an accessible bedroom with a king size bed and a generously sized ‘Jack & Jill’ style wet room. Fabulous barn conversion

By Ruth Docherty on 09-Oct-2020

This is a fabulous barn conversion in a pretty little village with a pub. Spotlessly clean, very warm and comfortable. The lounge area is stunning. The owner is close by if you need her, we didn’t , but it’s nice to say hello. Just a few minutes drive from Pretty Whitby, it’s in a perfect location.

Beautifully furnished, lovely bathroom facilities and very clean

By Ms Julie Davey on 31-Aug-2020

The barn was beautifully furnished, lovely bathroom facilities and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Everything we thought we may need, it was there to hand, as well as some nice touches. Ilona, the host, lived in the house next door and was on hand for recommendations and any queries. Having said that she also kept a respectful distance. This enabled us to have a relaxing and enjoyable break. Very picturesque countryside and beaches. Highly recommend this quality holiday let.

Chestnut Barn is beautiful and so comfortable

By Mrs Alyson Kent on 31-Jul-2020

Chestnut Barn is beautiful and so comfortable. The host is incredibly thoughtful with little touches around the barn, flowers and a lovely welcome pack. Everything is thought of here and we wanted for nothing. We would definitely recommend staying here and will be doing so ourselves again.

We enjoyed a great week in Chestnut Barn

By Mrs Ann Mulvaney on 03-Jan-2020

It is exceptionally well equipped for a walking holiday in the North York Moors. Everything you could need is provided and the log burner proved a hit on cold nights. The beds are very comfortable and bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size. Plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobes show the attention to detail by the Owner. Highly recommend.
