Welcome to our spacious, bright and comfortable Edwardian house in the heart of Weymouth just off the Esplanade with it's fine, sandy beach within 200 yards of the sandy beaches and the sea. The town, train station and popular quayside bars & restaurants are all an easy walk from the house making this property the ideal holiday location. Sealife Centre, Pirate Adventure Golf, The Front Skate Park, Lodmoor Country Park and the RSPB Lodmoor nature reserve are within walking distance heading east along the coast, although there is a large car park there if you prefer to drive.
Please note that our CHANGEOVER DAY is Friday to Friday for weekly holidays with a minimum of 7 nights in the summer holidays. SHORT BREAKS are FRIDAY TO MONDAY (3 nights), and MONDAY TO FRIDAY (four nights). Where possible, we aim to accommodate different days - please send an inquiry if your dates are different to those offered. Check in is from 3pm and check out by 10am.
The house has a modern kitchen and bathrooms and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Outside courtyard and BBQ. Set in a quiet side road away from the main town centre so you'll get a good night's sleep. We have 2 king-size bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a sofa bed in a separate downstairs room. We also have a travel cot and a wooden highchair for younger guests (Please bring your own bedding for this). Bed linen and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.
Unrestricted on-street parking permit is available nearby to the north east, and you can park for up to one hour during the day in Zone 'A' where the house is situated to load and unload you vehicle. The train station is 300m away, and the beach, town, quayside, restaurants, sealife and lodmore park are all within walking distance.
The Jurassic coastline stretches from Devon to Dorset, and is England’s only natural World Heritage Site. There’s a world to discover here for all ages, with fossils from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, and it has many attractions nearby including Abbotsbury with the Swannery, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, and the crystal clear water for swimming at Ringstead Bay, and Golden Cap.
In July and August, the floating pontoons in Weymouth bay provide a great fun resource for swimmers. A local triathlon club are regularly seen swimming the length of the bay. Nearby Ringstead Bay has free National Trust parking and is renowned for crystal clear waters for swimming.
All you need for a great holiday is on your doorstep with the beach near enough that you can walk to and from the property throughout the day to have a break, lunch or pick up things you forgot for the beach! And now, we find ourselves within walking distance of Park Yoga, Park run and Orienteering in Lodmoor Park - just a few of the fabulous new ventures in Weymouth.
