We stayed the week before Christmas in Flintstone Barn. The barn was lovely, beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds and an open fire in the lounge. The kitchen was very well equipped and had all you could need for cooking as well as washing up liquid, kitchen towels etc provided. We booked here as there is an indoor swimming pool which was great for my 10 year old. The games room and DVD room are a brilliant idea as is the small gym. The location is marvellous with the beach, a super little village shop and pub all within walking distance. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. We will be visiting again!
On arrival there was milk, tea, coffee and biscuits which was just what we needed after a 2hr journey, the cottage was clean and comfy, and the facilities were brilliant, swimming pool and games room very enjoyable! Lovely people who own the cottages made us feel very welcome! Beds were lovely and comfy! Overall a fantastic weekend break for me and my family! Will definetly book again!
We stayed in Bittern Cottage with our 1 year old and 7 year old and have just booked to return next year which says it all really! The facilities at the farm are amazing - we only had a couple of rainy hours during our week long stay but regardless the fact there is a beautiful pool on site is a huge bonus with little ones especially. We used the pool and the play area every day and our youngest especially loved the playhouse shop. Weybourne is just beautiful with the beach a 10 min stroll, a lovely shop and a great pub and another big play park also. the area itself has so much to do we ran out of time in a week! We visited Pensthorpe and Dinosaur Park which were both a massive hit, hired bikes at Holkham, visited lots of beaches - West Runton particularly lovely, and had some fantastic walks along the cliff tops. The cottage itself was perfect with everything we needed and a lovely big patio area with a big table and sun loungers as a bonus! Sal is really helpful and we couldn't have asked for more for such a wonderful holiday. Thank you.
We stayed in Barnetts Cottage, 5 adults with lots of room to relax. The cottage follows well with excellent facilities. I cooked Christmas dinner with ease. Endless supply of wood for the wood burner which added that extra Christmassy glow. The Ship serves lovely locally sourced food and the shop/cafe has a huge range of bits and bobs you may have forgotten or just can't resist. Will be staying again soon!
From the moment we drove into Home Farm, Sally was there to greet us and immediately brought all of the extras we had asked for into the cottage (cot, baby bath , changing mat, and high-chair). These were provided at no extra charge. She was on hand but not intrusive during our stay. We had specifically chosen Home Farm's Fleet Cottage because it is all on the ground floor and has a washing machine; practical essentials for our 9 month old toddler! Everything was as we expected and needed. The cottage was clean and well-appointed with details such as a clothes-airer and clothes pegs to dry wet laundry. Cozy beds with extra blankets even though the rooms were a good sleeping temperature; their is ample wardrobe and drawer storage space. The two-bedroom cottage has onlyone bathroom with toilet inside but it is big; most of the bathroom shelf space is within the airing cupboard so that is where we stored our wash-bags and the baby's spare nappies, etc. The kitchen has a large fridge and a real freezer - unusual in other holiday rentals we have stayed in! The oven door seems not to close tight but it cooks OK. The washing machine is new and there is a communal tumble dryer nearby that takes a 20p coin for every 10 mins (There are communal washing machines there too for the cottages that don't have one). The dishwasher works well. A wood-burning fire with a huge communal store of extra wood nearby, a residents-only swimming pool, and ample parking made the stay fun and even more comfortable. We regretted not booking a massage or treatment in the Beauty Room and would have if we had stayed longer than a week! We used Fleet Cottage as our base from where to explore the wintery North Norfolk coast; whether wandering along the Weybourne beach or travelling to Cromer and Wells-Next-the-Sea on day trips, we enjoyed coming back to the home comforts and warming Christmas decorations!
We stayed here (2 adults a 4 year old and a 11 month old) for the October half term in China cottage. It had everything you need for a holiday with young children. There was a high chair, stair gate and cot. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need/want to cook meals. There was also washing up liquid, washing sponges, dishwasher tablets and kitchen roll which you often have to bring yourself. I also loved the big main bathroom. It makes it much easier to get 2 small children bathed and ready for bed when you have that bit of extra room. The shower was lovely as well. There is a big garden where we played football one afternoon. It was a big hit with our oldest. We booked here as there is an indoor pool and play area for the children. Just in case the weather was bad due to the time of year we would have something inside to do. We shouldn't have worried and we only used the pool twice. The pool itself is great fun and well organised. There is also a laundry room which we didn't need but great to have as an option when you have small messy children. We will defiantly be staying here again. We all loved it.
