By DARREN GRIMSHAW on 16-Feb-2021

DarrenDarren's Review 4 Jan - 31 Jan 2021 Honey Cottage (No 8 Quarryman's Cottages) Darren Overall rating Public review Reply Robert was efficient, helpful and attentive in every aspect of the organisation. The house is in a wonderful location, peace and quiet with amenities nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily walk down to the Camel Trail. The fire kept us warm also. We would definitely recommend.

2020 Cowrie Cottage

By Lucy on 20-Sep-2020

LucyLucy's Review 12 Sep - 19 Sep 2020 Cowrie Cottage (No 5) - Edmonton, Wadebridge Lucy Overall rating Public review We loved our stay at Cowrie Cottage. It's location is wonderful - about 15 - 25 minutes to Padstow depending on traffic, 25 minutes to Rock, and about 5 minutes to Wadebridge which had lots of restaurants. The Quarryman Inn was also a few steps from the front door and served to the cottage if we wanted. The quarryman was a very quiet pub, although filled every night, so we felt very safe. The cottage also has access to a shared garden area, which was great. Cowrie Cottage had the sun on the front in the morning, and in the garden in the evening - perfect! We did find that we could hear the people in the cottages next to us, but Robert had explained that these are old cottages and sound does travel, so we weren't too surprised. The cottage is slightly outdated, however was filled with amenities that you might need. During the COVID times, we felt that the cottage was very clean and we felt very safe. The location of the cottage also made it feel very safe, and I enjoyed going out into the courtyard in the mornings. Robert was also very quick to respond to any queries we had - even before we stayed at the cottage. This was really fantastic to see and he was a great host. I would recommend this cottage to others. We can only thank you! Private note We loved our stay in Cowrie Cottage. It was a great base for us, location was fab, and we enjoyed that we had a garden. We liked all of the little touches to the place - loved the decoration in the living room! The only thing we found were that the trays and pans were very well loved and could potentially be replaced. The bench outside may also not withstand the winter, but we really appreciated having something to sit on in the fabulous garden. Thank you very much for your quick responses and help booking - we really have enjoyed ourselves.

2020 Cowrie Cottage

By Helen Howell on 20-Jul-2020

HelenHelen's Review 16 Jul - 20 Jul 2020 Cowrie Cottage (No 5) - Edmonton, Wadebridge Helen Overall rating Public review Our second stay in lovely Cowrie Cottage, and unfortunately my husband ended up in hospital with appendicitis. Having asked the owner, Robert, for any flexibility with extending our stay to allow for my husband’s recovery from his operation, we were able to stay another night which helped enormously. Robert was so kind and helpful during a stressful time, we were able to concentrate on trying to enjoy the rest of our stay! The cottage is lovely and well located, would highly recommend for visiting many parts of this lovely area of Cornwall. Will be even better when the Quarryman opens again at the end of July! Private note Thanks again Robert for your flexibility and support during the stressful parts of our trip!
