This beautiful property which has recently been renovated to a standard to impress, offers accommodation for up to 16 guests plus 2 cots. Dating back to the late 18th Century, the property is full of original features whilst now offering every modern convenience. The Entrance Hall is magnificent with a stunning iron staircase to the first floor Living Room which is set into the eaves and exudes character with wooden beams, stone walls and large sofas centred around a log burning stove. This room is somewhere to escape to and has a large cupboard full of board games to enjoy with the rest of the group.

On the ground floor and accessed from the hallway is the well equipped Kitchen with a central island that seats 6 easily. The facilities are second to none with a large Smeg gas range, Miele appliances, quartz worktops and plenty of storage. With views over the countryside and towards the pool area, this kitchen is a food lover's paradise. There is a separate Dining Room again off the Entrance Hall which seats 14 easily. There is a separate cloakroom. The property is air conditioned throughout including all the living, dining and bedrooms (excluding all bathrooms and the wine cave).

The Bedrooms on the ground and first floor are all King size bedrooms and are beautifully furnished with a mix of modern and antique furniture. Each bedroom has an en-suite shower room with large walk in showers.

The bedroom on the lower ground floor which doubles as a second very spacious living area ideal for teenagers and children has 4 single beds. Again this has an en-suite and in addition it has a large living area with an L shaped sofa and Smart TV. There is a second kitchen with dining for 6 and a washing machine and tumble dryer on this floor too. This entire area is perfect for teenagers and children.

All bedrooms have air-conditioning.

The Tasting Room is also on the lower ground level and there is access from this level out towards the back garden. The Tasting Room is available for wine tastings arranged through Dordogne Vineyard Tours or Somme Privé.

This property is perfect for retreats and theme based holiday such as painting courses, yoga and wellness retreats. It is also possible to arrange a private chef for the occasional meal or for full time catering.

Outdoor Living

Set in beautiful countryside, the property has many mature trees and provides complete privacy. The courtyard terrace is an ideal place to eat outside and there is shade from the heat of the day. In the Courtyard there is a large antique dining table and plenty of relaxed seating. There is also a built in Grill area (wood). To the front of the house, there is another terrace ideal for breakfast and a further terrace around the swimming pool which is set on a slightly lower level to the main house. The 12m x 6m heated pool is saltwater and has plenty of recliners, parasols for shade and an alarm for security. For those wishing to do more than chill by the pool, there is a petanque court and table tennis.


Local Area

The property is ideally located within a short drive of many beautiful bastide villages in the Lot et Garonne and the Dordogne such as Monflanquin, Villereal, Monpazier, Eymet and Duras. The Lot riverside towns of Castelmoron sur Lot and Villeneuve sur Lot are also a short drive away. Casseneuil is a 10 minute drive and has a regular Saturday market. The larger town of Villeneuve sur Lot is also easily accessible as is the Dordogne river-side town of Bergerac which is just 40 minutes drive to the north, with its beautiful old town, quay and many restaurants, shops and activities.

There is an 18 hole golf course within a 20 minute drive of the property at the Villeneuve sur Lot Golf and Country Club. If you like to canoe, both the Lot and Dordogne are close and ideal for a day trip out.

The area is known for its gastronomy and there are an abundance of local restaurants from plat de jour fixed menus to fine dining Michelin star menus. If you prefer to eat at home, the local daily morning markets are a must with an amazing variety of fresh and local produce.

Getting Here

This rental property is ideally positioned between 3 International Airports making it an easy final destination. The Dordogne river-side town of Bergerac with its International Airport is approximately 40 minutes drive away. Ryanair flies here from London Stansted, Liverpool, East Midlands and Bristol. British Airways also flies here from London City and Southampton. Jet2 flies from Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds & Bradford. Transvania flies to Rotterdam. The vibrant city of Bordeaux is 1hr 30 minutes away, with a larger International Airport servicing even more UK and Worldwide destinations. In addition, Toulouse Airport is approximately 1hr 50 mins drive to the south - again a large International Airport.
