We spent a very pleasant week at the villa with some of our grown-up children. We were a party of five. The house is very well managed and all contacts, from the start, were efficient and professional. Karen and Julie were very helpful. The pool and terraces are definitely the highlight here. The garden, though not large, is secluded but there are other houses very close which you can’t see but you can hear (we were informed of this at first enquiry). The house is reasonably spacious and functional but somewhat lacking in charm. Be prepared to go out to buy basic essentials such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, rubbish sacks, etc, because only a very small number of things (one dishwasher tablet) is provided in a ‘welcome pack’. If the weather is good being outside most of the time will be fun. Inside is not so appealing. However, the rent is fair for the general area.
This villa lived uo to every expectation from its photos and description... and then some. We arrived late in the evening and walked straight onto the rear terrace. The pool lights were on and the valley sparkled with flickering lights. It was beautiful. The villa was equipped with everything you could need. We immediately felt at home and relaxed. The local town was small and charming and down the hill were all the conveniences of supermarkets, fuel stations restaurants etc... It is located in the mountains and the roads reflect this. It can be a challenging drive, especially if you've not driven in mountains before. I had, but it was a whole new experience for my two sons following... but fun! Plenty to see and visit nearby, but is equally perfect for just staying by the magnificent pool and relaxing. I highly recommend this villa to everyone.
We had a fantastic week. The village is beautiful (down a very steep hill!) with some good restaurants. The view from the house is incredible and everybody loved the pool! The house is fairly ‘rustic’ inside but we loved our week here.
Beautiful grounds and great location, as long as you are fit as the walk back from town is a workout!
