06.10.2017 Review by family Z from Karlsruhe Travel period: September 2017 Travelling as: family We spend one week in September on this unique and lovely mill of Margaret and Allen. The property was very well arranged with everything to get relaxed holyday. The pool is very well maintained, well-tempered water, this is ensured by a solar system. Everything was wonderfully quiet, you could hear the crickets and it smelled everywhere of olive trees, rosemary and lavender. On a windy day you can here pretty well let the kites flying. The town of Carcassonne is only 20 minutes'''' drive from the mills and the Mediterranean Sea is just an hour away. Allen and Margaret are very keen to make the time pleasant and relaxing. Answer by Mrs. Chesters07.10.2017 Thank you for your very nice review. So happy that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming your family back here next year!
Review by family Seifert from Dortmund Travel period: July 2021 Traveling as: family We look back on two incomparable weeks in a special place. Living in a medieval mill, swimming in a heated pool on huge grounds, the view of the hilly wine region and the friendly and discreet support of the hosts... unique. We were able to enjoy the time very much. Answer by Mrs. ChestersJuly 28, 2021 Thank you for your very nice review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We loved having you here. Travel period: June 2018 Travelling as: family The property is huge and there are many different places to retreat to. The garden is very lovingly designed with lots of shade, roses, etc. The landlords are super nice and do everything they can to make every next day even more beautiful. Highlights were the pool, tennis court, local markets (Montlaur, Gruissan, Carcasson) and Narbonne Plage. The pool is salt water and heated, you hardly want to go to the sea anymore. The tennis court is a bit uneven, but Alan regularly smoothes it out (just great - thanks) and the view is unique. In Montlaur there is a supermarket with everything you need (including fresh baguettes and croissants). Tip for the journey: Drive via Trebes and the D3. The D114 is more of a nightmare. Overall, a once-in-a-lifetime vacation and we miss sweet William. Answer by Mrs. Chesters 24.07.2018 Thank you so much Ingo and Bettina for your marvelous review. So happy you enjoyed it here so much. It is very beautiful and special. Thank you too Ingo for the meal you cooked for us, it was delicious. And William misses you as well.
