We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The tranquility and location of the Lodge provided what we were looking for. Alun is a communicative host and we would recommend this for anyone interested. Thank you
This was our second stay at the barn and we have had a wonderful time yet again. It is in such a peaceful and secluded location, yet walkable to the pub and within easy striking distance of anywhere you would want to be in the Lakes. I am sure we will be back again, we certainly did not want to leave!
Brilliant! Beautiful! Perfect!
Lovely accom. Amendable and available host. Quiet and beautiful location. If you like to cook (and are staying more than a few days), be aware you need to bring basic ingredients like oil, herbs, spices, alu-foil, cling-film, plus dishcloths, extra kitchen-roll and loo-roll etc. The bedroom and living space is very comfortable. You will need to bring books and games as none are provided for those rainy Lake District days. Lovely walks straight from the door (bring maps), with a couple of pubs just up the valley (bring a torch). Nice to have the option of free use of the gym and pool 5 mins drive away. Highly recommended and would happily stay again.
Lovely place, enjoyed every moment we spent there. Nice touch with the breakfast basket provided!
The barn is set in beautiful surroundings and is immaculately presented. The interior is tastefully designed and planned out. So much attention to detail to make the place ergonomically and aesthetically pleasing with the external surroundings. The panoramic views are stunning, not least the view of the beck from the bathroom window. Alun was available and very helpful on a couple of occasions where we needed some extra help and the extra items in the fridge on arrival were very welcome. We would thoroughly recommend the property and location for a quiet retreat or break as it has close links to lovely Ambleside and stunning countryside walks from the doorstep.
