Dear Serena, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home "Hillside" in Ashprington, Devon with us. We had an amazing and comfortable 4 nights at the cottage. Hillside is a absolute dream cottage: Beautiful inside and out. Everything was immaculate; so clean and tidy. The cottage is very tastefully decorated, feels well looked after and is obviously much loved. Hillside is spacious; we were a party of 4 adults (2 couples) and we had loads of space. The living room is a large space with a wood-burning stove, so is also very cosy. There is a large table in the living room at which we ate and played games. There is also a large separate dining area, should this be needed. The kitchen is well designed, well laid out and easy to use. Everything works and all the utilities are modern and spotless. There is a separate utility room; again with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of hot water. It was warm, good weather so we didn''t need the heating on. We were very impressed and grateful for the fresh flowers, the beer and that all household supplies (washing liquids, detergents, dishwasher tabs etc etc etc) were provided in plentiful quantities. There was loads of fuel for the fire and BBQ stuff should we have wanted these. Plenty of books and games and a great TV. Also really appreciated were the guides and "local books" which would help visitors unfamiliar to this superb part of the country. Bathroom is amazing; excellent shower and fab bath! Again, really appreciated the quality soaps and shampoo etc. Bedrooms are lovely, roomy ( ... and yet they feel romantic and snug!) and very pretty. Beds comfy +++ and linen, pillows, duvets and bedclothes of excellent quality. The bathrobes are worth the price of admission alone! The village is unspoilt, heartbreakingly beautiful and the surrounding areas are gorgeous. Loads to do and explore. Totnes is very close; 5 min drive or an easy walk (45-50mins by foot) along the beautiful river Dart. We loved the village pub; Durant Arms. Friendly with excellent food and drink. Lovely staff. The pub isn''t noisy and is right next door to the cottage. Food at the Maltsters Arms was marvellous. Parking was easy. We really can''t think of anything that would have made our stay better; please don''t change anything! Thank you once again; I hope we can come back soon.

We just had an incredible week at Hillside. The cottage is super clean, comfortable, well kitted out and stylish. The village is beautiful with a great pub next door and lots of fantastic places and beaches to visit a short drive away. We hope to come back next year!
