The village even has a prizewinning vineyard and a microbrewery both open to visitors! Also in the village are a craft centre and vintage book shop. Lots goes on at the Village Hall including film nights and a monthy produce market. There is a small village store which has most daily necessities. Leave ReviewOur third stay at Tintern Abbey Cottage
By Gary Woodruff on 02-May-2025Many thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your lovely cottage. We keep forgetting that the shops and most cafes shut in Tintern on a Tuesday excepth The White Monk and The anchor, just so that her visitors to the cottage are aware. But, many good walks. Thank you The Woodruffs.
Great character cottage with a superb view
By Stuart Wilson on 18-Apr-2025We’ve had a lovely week here- it’s a great location with a super view of The Abbey We can highly recommend the pub food (Anchor) the breakfast at the White Monk Cafe. All very friendly and Tintern has good facilities and great walks A trek up to the Devils Pulpit is well worth it for the view Most things are a 20-30 minutes drive -canoeing the Wye is recommended as a day out and we also enjoyed Monmouth and the Sculpture Trail Lovely cottage, great character and a super relaxing stay! Thank you Jo, Stuart and Fraser Wilson

Our 2nd stay here
By Ali, Rich and Jenny Wade on 02-Apr-2025A much needed Tintern break, which turned into House hunting. Such a wonderful location - looking out onto the Abbey and the trees. Our second stay here, which says it all. Thank you to Malcolm for coming over to get the car charger restarted. Ali, Rich and Jenny (from Pembrokeshire, soon to be local - and Banbury) PS Electroverse card works on the charger - no need for the app.
