By Gareth on 18-Apr-2025Beautiful cottage. Perfectly laid out - lovely garden. Great space. The kids (5 &9) loved the garden and having the playground next door. Tideswell is a great spot too. The local recommendations were brilliant. The staff and landlord at the Star Inn were welcoming and very friendly. Great trip.

By Nick on 23-Mar-2025The accomodation was better than I expected. Six of us fitted in very comfortably. There was no stinting on provision of cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery etc, and a generous welcoming pack of necessary supplies. What elevated our stay was the attention to detail that the hosts had made to ensure our comfort. We had a great time and a lot of that is due to the pampering we received from Jill and Jeroen. I wouldn't normally be so effusive but it is impossible to find fault, quite the reverse.

By Tuhin on 16-Feb-2025We had an amazing experience at Valentine Cottage. Jill And Jeroen were super responsive and helpful. They even accommodated an early check in request made on the day of arrival. We felt at home from the time we walked in. Each room was spectacular and the observatory was great. Though we could not utilize garden facilities much due to the weather but believe that is another great feature of the home. The surrounding was peaceful and serene. All the amenities were present and thanks for the great cookies. If we are ever going to go back to Tideswell surely we will go back to Valentine Cottage...
