Butterfield Cottage, lies in the heart of the national park in a quiet spot on the edge of Tideswell, just a 5 minute stroll from shops, pubs and tearooms. It provides bright and airy accommodation with all the facilities required for a perfect self catering holiday. The terrace has some of the best views in Tideswell across the dale.
The cottage has a lovely outdoor sitting and dining area to the front of the cottage to take in the views and free Wi Fi .To the rear is an enclosed private garden with seating and a washing line. The garden gate leads to a free car park, small play area and green for dog walking.
Tideswell’s a bustling conservation village with a great range of local shops, pubs resturants and tearooms, which specialise in delicious locally produced foods. It is gaining a reputation as a ‘foodie’ village with it’s own brand ‘Taste Tideswell’ for local produce and annual food festival. St John's Church is known as The Cathedral of the Peak and is well worth a visit. Bakewell, Buxton and the Castleton caverns are close by as is Chatsworth House. Alton Towers is a 40 min drive.
The cosy, beamed sitting room overlooks the front patio and has comfy sofas and a log burner set into a Derbyshire stone fireplace. It’s fully centrally heated and has a 45 inch SMART HD TV with HD FREESAT.
The dining table seats 6 and through patio doors overlooks the sunny walled rear garden.
The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, hob and oven, microwave, ironing facilities and a larder fridge.
Upstairs the bathroom is bright and airy comprising a wash basin, lavatory and bath with shower over and mirror.
There are two double bedrooms and a twin room. The twin room has an en-suite shower room overlooking the garden, with hand basin, mirror, and lavatory.
The cottage gardens catch the sun all day and the rear garden is secure for dogs. The rear garden is walled and gated and has steps up to a raised patio area with garden furniture. The steps have a handrail but may not be suitable for very young children or those with walking difficulties.
A covered passageway with lockable door leads from the back through to the front garden and this area is suitable for storing bikes. The front garden is fenced and gated and catches sun late into the evening. It has an outside dining and sitting area and is a great spot to sit and sip a drink while taking in the super views across the dale.
Car parking is on street in the vicinity or use the free car park just behind the cottage.
The tariff includes Wi-Fi, central heating, power, logs for the log burner for your first night during the cooler months and bed linen and towels. Dogs are most welcome at a cover charge of £30 each per stay. Arrival is from 3pm and departure by 10 am. Early check in at 1pm or late check out at 12 noon is often available on request at £35 each.
