Description

This 18th Century thatched cottage is located on a private lane with no passing traffic and with a very beautiful 0.5 acre garden with its own stream, summerhouse and large trampoline. The cottage is centrally positioned in the heart of this thriving New Forest village, only a couple of minutes walk to the best village store and post office in the National Park and a 5 minute walk to the Horse and Groom in Woodgreen. In the other direction, up the lane, within minutes you will find yourself on the village green and the cricket wicket and then out into the heart of the National Park. There really could not be a better located New Forest cottage for both convenience and ease of access to the New Forest National Park.

This picture perfect cottage, comprises a lounge with large wood burner and beamed ceiling, a separate dining room with a large table and seating for up to 14, a large kitchen/ diner with all the usual appliances including further seating for up to 7, a conservatory and a ground floor double bedroom with en-suite wet room. On the first floor, there is a master bedroom with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room (and a secret staircase!), a twin bedroom with basin, a double bedroom, a family bathroom (with corner bath and separate shower) and separate toilet. On the second floor, there is a further double bedroom and another twin bedroom, enabling the cottage to accommodate up to 12. There is also a shepherds hut on site for additional sleeping accommodation for 2, affording overall accommodation for up to 14 people. Over the double carport, there is also an extensive games room with a full-size table tennis table and table football, for those wet days when perhaps the National Park is not quite so appealing.

Welcome pack provided including a bottle Prosecco, New Forest Spring Water locally produced Tutti Fruity Jam, Biscotti Biscuits, Eggs, Milk, Tea & Coffee. Also a discount Go New Forest card to be used locally which can provide discounts when used with participating businesses.

We also have a VW Camper "Jessica" available this sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children. (additional fees apply and only available in the warmer months)

We have a luxury permanent hot tub 4-6 seat available for £325* for short Breaks or £400* for 7 nights breaks (*price before discount) EV Charging now available please visit our website for more details.

We offer 3 night week end breaks, 4 night mid week breaks and 7 night breaks

Beautiful house, well equipped internally and a lovely garden including a playing area for the children. Caroline was extremely helpful throughout the process and the company overall were very efficient. A really good experience. Perfect family celebration.

Fabulous house in a great location

The house was great for our family gathering of 4 generations. Lots of space inside & out for family catch ups. A couple of the bedrooms were on the smaller size while others were a good size. Amenities in the house were generally of a very good standard. The information provided before our stay was excellent. The location was spot on for exploring the New Forest. The village has a well stocked shop & there is a pub/restaurant within a 1-2 minute stroll & it is very good. Overall a fabulous house with excellent garden space.

A great cottage with so many bedrooms

A great cottage with so many bedrooms that accommodated all the family for a celebratory birthday weekend. There is enough space that you never felt crowded both inside and out. Lovely location with a great pub two minutes away and a well stocked village shop five minutes away. The cottage has easy access to walks from the front door. A great place to stay with easy access to all the New Forest has to offer.
